We proudly hosted the 2nd International Physiotherapy Students’ Research Forum on 29 May, uniting partner universities from the Asia-Pacific and Europe for a day of mutual learning and academic growth within the global physiotherapy community (in alphabetical order):

【流金匯記‧實習物理治療師分享】
在4、5月回到 #賽馬會流金匯 參加活動的朋友,可能已經留意到中心多了兩位充滿活力的年輕面孔。他們不僅為50+社區人士舉辦痛症工作坊、協助「活力50+」快閃教室的推行,也陪伴日間護理中心的會員進行各種訓練。

他們就是來自香港都會大學的實習物理治療師 — Albert 和 Jack。

過去一個月,他們在中心把課堂所學付諸實踐,將專業知識帶到社區;同時透過參與和舉辦不同活動,與50+人士及長者同行,一起成長。今天,就讓我們先聽聽Albert的分享😉

有人或會說,步入晚年代表的是自己逐漸走向衰退的過程,但不論身體還是認知是否有限制,在賽馬會流金匯,每一個使用者都可以選擇開展最美好的人生旅程,活出充滿華彩的的流金人生。

日間中心是腦退化症人士在社區的另一個家。每天早上,職員微笑地迎接每一個來到中心的使用者,一起在中心聊天、運動、在打麻將中訓練認知和上肢,度過愉快的一天。在這裡,我們見證彼此的成長。在這裡我繼續磨練自己的專業能力,學會用簡單的話語配合肢體語言,與會員一起進行身體機能評估,一起在歡樂中運動,幫助他們保持活動能力,也和他們慢慢建立起關係。對於他們而言,要記住事物並非易事,所以當聽到有會員對我說:「我記得你個樣,但係我唔記得你叫咩名」時,格外令人感動。

在中心的另一邊,50+人士通過多元化的基層醫療健康服務,逐步培養良好生活模式,為步健康耆年做好準備,而我也在此體驗到物理治療師在基層醫療中的重要角色。在社區中,運動是良好生活方式中必不可少的一環。從第一次從撰寫計劃書、設計運動班的內容,到講解如何管理腰背痛,再到指導如何通過運動改善疼痛,每一步都是新的體驗和學習。此外,在中風人士的步態訓練中,我實踐了所學的腦神經知識與技巧,陪伴他們在艱難的康復過程中,重新顫抖地踏出一步又一步,每一步對彼此而言都意義非凡。

在「賽馬會流金匯」實習的過程中,我不僅認識到物理治療在社區中的角色,以及如何設計訓練計劃,更學會了如何用心陪伴每一個使用者,在他們人生中最需要支持的歲月裡,與他們一起繼續為健康而努力,一起活出快樂的健康人生。

都大夥香港殘奧會簽合作備忘錄 攜手推動殘疾運動及運動員發展

香港文匯報訊(記者 楊梓穎)香港都會大學(都大)與中國香港殘疾人奧委會(香港殘奧會)今日簽署合作備忘錄,建立長遠合作夥伴關係,共同推動本港殘疾運動發展,並加強對殘疾運動員的支援。雙方期望透過結合高等教育與殘疾運動界力量,發揮協同效應,促進本港殘疾運動的專業教育及應用研究發展。

簽署儀式由文化體育及旅遊局體育專員蔡健斌、都大校長林群聲及香港殘奧會會長馮馬潔嫻見證,並由都大副校長(策略規劃)區啟明及香港殘奧會副會長梁禮賢代表簽署合作備忘錄。

蔡健斌致辭時表示,都大開辦傷健運動理學碩士及深造文憑課程,加上今次與香港殘奧會合作,將有助整合體育專業與高等教育資源,不僅可豐富課程內容、培育具專業素養人才,亦可支援殘疾運動員持續進修,為他們開拓更廣闊的發展方向與職業前景。

他指出,是次合作備忘錄與政府推出的殘疾運動員就業及教育計劃互相配合,為殘疾運動員退役後融入社會提供堅實後盾。他期望此舉可啟發更多院校推出多元化傷健運動課程,並促進香港本地大學以至大灣區院校在相關領域的合作與交流。

區啟明表示,是次合作備忘錄標誌着雙方在推動社會共融、支持本地殘疾人體育發展及培育相關專業人才方面邁出重要一步。他說:「我們會繼續為運動員創造更多發展機會,為學生搭建實踐平台,並為推動香港共融體育發展作出長遠貢獻。」

他舉例指出,修讀物理治療(榮譽)理學士課程的學生,可參與「運動物理治療體驗及復康計劃」(SPEAR),透過親身為殘疾運動員提供物理治療服務,應用臨床知識及專業判斷,累積實戰經驗。

梁禮賢表示,「級別鑑定是殘疾人運動的靈魂,是公平競技的防線」,主要用作界定運動員參賽資格,惟現行系統以英語主導。他期望透過與都大的合作,提升社會對級別鑑定的認識,甚至將級別鑑定納入學術課程,培訓能獨當一面、具國際水平的級別鑑定師,協助國家及香港在國際殘疾人運動領域爭取更大參與度及專業話語權。

出席見證合作備忘錄簽署的嘉賓,亦包括多名中國香港殘疾運動員,包括殘疾人羽毛球運動員、都大新開辦的傷健運動理學碩士及深造文憑客席講師陳浩源,以及殘疾人帆船運動員付遠威、梁玉珍和潘子明。

根據合作備忘錄,雙方將推動學術及研究層面的合作,包括透過學術及培訓課程提供專業教育,以及共同開展針對殘疾運動及復康治療的應用研究。

為擴闊都大學生視野,雙方亦將透過與本地及國際夥伴協作、舉辦教育活動及業界交流機會,深化學生對殘疾運動產業的認識與學習體驗。同時,雙方會為有意進修的殘疾運動員提供公平、具彈性且切合需要的高等教育學習途徑,並共同推廣與殘疾人運動相關的課程、學術活動及研討會。

HKMU, HKPC ink deal to boost Para sports education, research

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) and the China Hong Kong Paralympic Committee (HKPC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a long-term partnership aimed at advancing Para sports in Hong Kong and strengthening support for Para athletes.

The agreement, signed on Wednesday, brings together the strengths of higher education and the Para sports sector to promote professional education and applied research in the field within Hong Kong.

The MoU signing was witnessed by George Tsoi Kin-pan, commissioner for Sports in the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau; Paul Lam Kwan-sing, HKMU president; and Jenny Fung Ma Kit-han, president of HKPC. It was signed by Alan Au Kai-ming, vice president of HKMU and John Leung Lai-yin, vice president of HKPC.

Students from our Department of Physiotherapy joined a student exchange programme at Yonsei University, South Korea, from 11–15 May 2026 🇰🇷🇭🇰

Our students and faculty joined lectures, laboratory visits, campus tours, student meet-ups, clinical visits, and cultural activities, along with meaningful exchanges with Yonsei faculty and students throughout.

This exchange provided our students and faculty with valuable learning experiences and insights, especially cross-cultural perspectives in physiotherapy.

We thank the staff and students at Yonsei University and we look forward to more exchange activities in the future!
