Friendly reminder: The application deadline for ACCA-CFA Institute Business Competition 2019-20 is 16 Oct 2019 4 p.m.! Looking forward to brilliant teams from your students !

This year's competitin is themed ‘A New Era of Business Success with Ethics and Purposes’, contesting teams will be exposed to some inspiring real cases provided by our case partner Barclays. Each team is required to pick one of the social issues (Diversity & Inclusion, Affordable Housing, Environment and Sustainability) and design a campaign/project/product for a selected industry. Each team shall consist of 3 to 4 students from the same institution. The Competition is a platform for students to enhance business acumen and social consciousness.

Seasoned ACCA-qualified professionals will act as coaches for the Top 20 Teams, offering an exceptional learning experience that will benefit the students well beyond the competition.

The talk related to Commercial Crime has successfully been conducted by one of our AC Alumni, Mr. Herwin Ma, Detective Senior Inspector of the Commercial Crime Bureau, Hong Kong Police Force, last Saturday, November 17. Both students and alumni was deeply impressed by the talk!

Dear Alumni,

Hope everything is well with you. Just in case if you want to have a change with your working style and mode, the Department has a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) position.

he GTA mainly assists in preparation of teaching and research materials, assessment of student assignments and projects, and student supervision. GTA also performs any other duties as assigned. This is a position where you can transfer all the professional and technical knowledge acquired in the accounting/ auditing field to the current students now. We believe you will find this position challenging, but it’s full of joy and satisfaction.

The Department is very pleased to let you know the seminar conducted by Ms. Polly Wong, vice chairman of The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS) Education Committee regarding the latest development of Corporate Governance in Hong Kong and Mainland China on Mar 24, 2018 was a great success.
