Poster Design Competition
Background: CW Chu College encourages character formation, personal responsibility, honesty, mutual respect and support. All students have pledged to abide by an Honour Code:
‘As a student member of the CW Chu community, I pledge on my honour to comport myself with honesty, integrity and courtesy in my academic and personal life. I understand that failure to observe these standards violates the Honour Code and undermines the community of trust and respect, of which we are all stewards.’
Students are expected to take primary responsibility for managing the Honour Code and dealing with any behaviour that is not consistent with it — with maturity and in a spirit of self-governance.
Objective: To promote the spirit, general principles and effective practice of the Student Honour Code.
Format: Students of the CWChu community are welcomed to join the Poster Design Competition. Each participant needs to submit one poster design that is related to the prescribed themes (jpg. format) of the Student Honour Code and send it to [email protected] before the competition ends.
Duration: The competition shall commence on March 25th and end on April 10th (23:59)
Use of posters: Posters submitted shall be posted on the SHCC page and the price winning posters will be displayed around the college.
Prescribed themes: The poster needs to be related to at least one of the following topics:
(1) Not to take away food belonging of others in the fridge;
(2) Develop the good habit of flushing the toilet after use;
(3) Not to make noise and disturb others during sleeping hours;
(4) Not to mess with other people’s laundry; or
(5) Any messages that are related to mutual respect

Grading: Professor Young (College Master), Professor Wong (Warden) and Professor Au (Dean of Students) will be invited to be judges. The grading will be based on two criteria: (i) message conveyed; and (ii) design. The two criteria are weighed 50% each (out of 10) and the awards are based on the final score (20 points). Note that the ‘most popular award’ shall be awarded to the poster that receives the most likes on the SHCC page.
