Seoul Career Exploration Program 2026

✨ Career Exploration in Seoul! ✨

From January 26 to 29, the HKUST Career Center took 31 students on an inspiring journey to Seoul, visiting 8 leading companies—including Hyundai Motor Group, Uber, and Veolia! Our aim was to expand our students’ knowledge of Korea’s working culture, recruitment practices, and business development trends, while building valuable connections with industry professionals.

Program Highlights:
🔶 Hyundai Motor Group: We began our trip with an insightful tour of Hyundai Motor Group’s innovative exhibition area, learning about their latest advancements and future plans. Their senior manager from France also shared valuable insights into the working culture in Korea and how foreigners can adapt to it.

🔶 Uber: At Uber, our students received a warm welcome and gained firsthand insights into the transportation and tech industry in Korea. The engaging discussions with their team left a memorable impact on all participants.

🔶 Veolia: During our visit to Veolia, we explored the company’s growth journey and heard directly from their team about recruitment and opportunities in the sustainability sector. Our students asked thoughtful questions and expanded their knowledge of career possibilities in this growing field.

✨ Career Exploration in Singapore! ✨

From January 18 to 24, the HKUST Career Center and School of Business co-hosted an exciting career exploration trip to Singapore with 30 students, visiting 9 top companies—including Moody’s, Standard Chartered, and Decathlon! Our mission was to broaden our students’ understanding of Singapore’s professional culture, recruitment practices, and business development trends, while offering valuable networking opportunities with industry leaders.

Program Highlights:

🔶 Moody’s: We kicked off with an informative visit to Moody’s, where students explored the company’s latest innovations and upcoming initiatives. The HR team provided insightful perspectives on their recruitment process and engaged in meaningful conversations with our group.

🔶 Standard Chartered: At Standard Chartered, our students were warmly received and gained firsthand insights into the dynamic banking industry. Thought-provoking discussions with staff deepened their understanding of career pathways in finance.

🔶 Decathlon: The visit to Decathlon offered an inside look at the company’s impressive growth, business model, and talent strategies. Students actively participated, asking insightful questions and learning more about diverse career opportunities in the retail sector.

✨ Career Exploration in Taipei! ✨

From January 18 to 23, the HKUST Career Center took 23 students on an exciting journey to Taipei, where we visited 8 renowned companies—including China Airlines, TSMC, and Uni-President! Our mission was to expand our students’ knowledge of Taipei’s working culture, recruitment practices, and business development trends, while building meaningful connections with industry professionals.

Program Highlights:

🔶 TSMC: We began our trip with an immersive visit to the TSMC Museum, discovering the company’s innovations and how their technologies are deeply connected to everyday life around the world. The exhibition offered students a unique perspective on TSMC’s impressive global impact.

🔶 China Airlines: At China Airlines, our students were warmly welcomed and learned firsthand about the aviation industry. Engaging conversations with staff provided valuable insights into the sector and left a lasting impression on our students.

🔶 Uni-President: Our visit to Uni-President allowed us to explore the company’s growth story through the presentation from their staff. Students actively participated and gained valuable perspectives on the food and beverage industry.

Shanghai Career Exploration Program 2026

✨ Career Exploration in Shanghai! ✨

During 18-23 Jan, the HKUST Career Center led 38 students on an inspiring journey to Shanghai, where we visited 12 leading companies—including Meituan, Bank of East Asia, and Bytedance! Our goal was to broaden our students’ understanding of the working culture, recruitment processes, and business development trends in Mainland China, while fostering valuable networking opportunities with industry professionals.

Program Highlights:

🔶 Meituan: We kicked off our visit with a tour of Meituan’s dynamic exhibition area, where we learned about their latest and upcoming services. The HR team shared insightful details about their recruitment process and enjoyed meaningful interactions with our students.

🔶 Bank of East Asia: Our hosts at BEA greeted us with exceptional hospitality. Students gained firsthand insights into the banking industry, engaging in thought-provoking conversations that made a lasting impact.

🔶 Bytedance: At Bytedance, we discovered the company’s growth journey through an in-depth timeline and learned about their recruitment strategies directly from their team. Our students were highly engaged, asking insightful questions and gaining valuable knowledge about career opportunities.
