In line with the mission of the University to provide a higher education that develops and sustains the integrity of the whole person, and its values of strong commitment to both academic excellence and community service, the Leadership Qualities Centre (LQC) aims to empower HKBU students to become committed global and local citizens, assume active roles to face and resolve global challenges and t

o become proactive contributors in local community. We connect with various local and overseas partners to provide unique experiential learning opportunities for students to get connected to the community and to learn from their reflection through service-learning and community engagement projects. In addition, we offer different trainings, conferences and field experiences for students to develop their global vision, both locally and overseas.

[🇰🇭 Cambodia Service Journey 🌍✨]

📸 Our Cambodia Service Journey has come to a successful end! We would like to express our gratitude to all the participating students and our supporting partners! 🎉

🌴 During this incredible journey, our students from Baptist University organised a vibrant carnival at a local school, where they shared Hong Kong's culture and cuisine with the students there. We also organised a variety of activities, big and small, with the aim of bringing more joy to the local children! 🌈

🎊 Throughout the activities, the students shared their perspectives, encouraged each other, and learned from their mistakes. This interaction not only fostered precious friendships but also developed their teamwork and leadership skills. We believe that the students have gained valuable personal growth and experiences from this journey! 💪

📆 The historical landmarks in Cambodia left an indelible impression on our students. They witnessed the grandeur of the Cambodian Royal Palace, delved into the history of the S21 Concentration Camp, and experienced the local culture at the Russian Market. These firsthand experiences made the history more profound and awe-inspiring, providing the students with immense knowledge and understanding! 🏰

🌟 "Traveling a thousand miles is better than reading a thousand books." This journey allowed the students not only to gain knowledge from textbooks but also to immerse themselves in different cultures and histories. These invaluable experiences will be cherished memories for a lifetime! 💫

📸 我們浸大的同學們在柬埔寨的學校舉辦了一場精彩的嘉年華！我們與當地的學生分享了香港的文化和美食，讓他們感受到不同的味道和風情～🎉

🌴 在這次活動中，我們策劃了各種大小活動，希望能夠帶給當地的小朋友更多的快樂！我們一起參與遊戲、運動、工作坊等，讓他們感受到愉快的氛圍和無限的可能性！🌈

🎊 在活動的過程中，同學們互相分享看法，互相鼓勵，並不斷從錯誤中學習。這種互動讓我們建立起珍貴的友誼，同時也培養了團隊合作和領導能力。我們相信同學們在這次旅程中獲得了寶貴的成長和收穫！💪

📆 柬埔寨的歷史遺跡更是讓這次旅程難以忘懷。同學們親眼目睹了壯麗的柬埔寨皇宮、深入了解了S21集中營的歷史，還在俄羅斯市集中體驗了當地的文化。這些現場的體驗讓歷史更加深刻而壯觀，同學們一定獲益良多！🏰

🌟 "讀萬卷書，不如行萬里路"，這次旅程讓同學們不僅能夠在課本中學到知識，更能夠親身體驗和感受不同國家的文化和歷史。這些珍貴的經歷將成為同學們一生難以磨滅的回憶！💫

【Serve-cation Post-trip Sharing 「義」遊同行 服務及學習團分享會】
Leadership Qualities Centre於本年6月舉辦了印尼峇里島🇮🇩及泰國清邁🇹🇭的服務及學習團 (Serve-cation)。參加服務及學習團的同學親身到峇里島及清邁參與義工活動，並體驗當地文化手藝。為讓更多浸大同學了解他們的學習成果及體驗，參加服務及學習團的同學將齊集於TriAngle擺設攤位，讓更多浸大同學可以通過當地食物及飲品、小遊戲✌️及DIY手工藝等🌼，體驗當地文化，還有機會可以把手信帶回家😳！

活動無需提前註冊。各位同學千萬不要錯過！

日期：13-14/9/2023 （星期三及星期四）

The HKBU Leadership Qualities Centre organised service and learning trips to Bali, Indonesia🇮🇩, and Chiang Mai🇹🇭, Thailand earlier in June under programme “Serve-cation”. Participating students under Serve-cation had the opportunity to do volunteer activities and experience the local cultures in Bali and Chiang Mai. They will set up booths at TriAngle where everyone of the HKBU commuity can experience the local cultures through enjoying local food and drinks, games✌️, DIY crafts🌼, and more. You may have the chance to bring souvenirs home😳!

No pre-registration is required for the event. Students, please don't miss out!
