✨𝐇𝐊𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐌𝐁𝐈 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬: 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬✨
🎉Last Saturday, the RMBI Program at HKUST hosted the RMBI symposium, bringing together students, alumni, academics, and industry leaders to explore the theme “Digital Assets: Risks and Opportunities.” The timing was perfect, as the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) had just issued stablecoin licenses in mid-April, marking a milestone for Hong Kong’s digital asset landscape.
💡 We were honored to hear from distinguished speakers. Mr. Daryl Ho, 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 (𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭), 𝐇𝐊𝐌𝐀, spoke on the 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘬𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘴. Ms. Raluca Popa, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐇𝐒𝐁𝐂, shared insights on the 𝘵𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴. Mr. Alan Chan, 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐏𝐰𝐂, explored the 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. Mr. Calvin Lam, 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐕𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩, discussed 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘦𝘣3.

Appreciation also goes to RMBI students Jade Tang and Anson Lau, who served as emcees and contributed to the smooth running of the event.
