古琴藝術（斲琴技藝）於2014年列入第四批國家級非遺代表性項目名錄。香港的斲琴技藝奠基於浙派琴家徐文鏡，1950年代徐氏將斲琴技藝傳予「蔡福記」樂器廠少東蔡昌壽，徐氏斲琴一脈，從此植根香港。

Dr. Anna Tso, Dr. Ricky Chan, Dr. Lau Chaak Ming, and Dr. Emily Chow-Quesada will give exciting keynote speeches on children literature, forensic phonetics, Cantonese's orthographic variation, and mediatic representation of black female artists.

Graduate students will give talks on diverse topics, including Environment and Literature, Contact/Conflict, Formal Linguistics. among others. Some students from the Department of English will be taking part.
