The Dialogue with Members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. HAO Jiming (郝吉明) from Tsinghua University and Prof. ZHANG Yuanhang (张远航) from Peking University was successfully concluded on 21 February. The dialogue has provided an excellent opportunity for our current students and young professionals to meet and chat with two honourable academicians to learn from their thoughts and insights on sustainability. We hope that this remarkable experience sharing could cultivate more young talents in the Environment and Sustainability field.

📝Speakers Biography

As one of the main pioneers and leaders in China's air pollution research, he made significant contributions to the policy-making of acid deposition control and vehicle emission control in China. His research on the characteristics and mechanism of complex air pollution promotes the implementation of joint prevention and control of regional air pollution in China. He is also one of the experts actively leading different academic initiatives in climate change and promoting synergic reductions of pollution and carbon under China’s double-carbon policy.

Prof. Zhang is one of the leading figures in the field of atmospheric environmental chemistry in China. His research has integrated measurement technology development, air quality science and pollution control policies, and achieved prominent breakthroughs in the mechanism of atmospheric oxidation enhancement and haze pollution formation.
