A world champion is never made by chance. Behind every victory lies the outcome of countless drops of sweat, injuries overcome, and unwavering perseverance🌟
For Miss Sarah Lee, Hong Kong’s outstanding track cyclist, the road to her dreams has never been smooth. She has had to push past the constraints of congenital anaemia and serious injuries, endure the pressures of high-intensity training, and face scrutiny and doubt from the outside world. Yet none of these challenges made her retreat. Instead, they became the driving force that strengthened her resolve and kept her faith intact.
In the end, with indomitable grit, Miss Lee won bronze medals at the 2012 London Olympic Games and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games🥉 She also captured titles at elite international competitions, including the World Championships, the Asian Games, and the National Games, setting multiple historic records in Hong Kong sport 🏆
At the High Table Dinner held on 18 March, Miss Lee visited S.H. Ho College for a dialogue with College Member Prof. Patrick Yung, Associate Dean (Mainland Affairs), Faculty of Medicine, CUHK, to share the highs and lows of her athletic journey, enabling the students and teachers present to deeply appreciate the self-discipline, courage, and resilience of the “Cycling Queen of Ngau Tau Kok".
May we, too, press on as we cut through the wind ahead — undaunted by headwinds, and brave in pursuing our dreams 🚴♀️✨
