We would like to congratulate our 2nd year student Caoilin O’Reilly on her recent success of making the midlands girls basketball team.

Caoilin travelled up and down to Port Laoise during her summer holidays for trials and was recently named one of the last 13.
We are super proud of her achievement and hope to see her back on our own courts very soon!

After an incredible 41 years of service in Granard Library, we want to wish Rosemary McGivney/Gaynor a very happy and well-deserved retirement this Friday! 📚

Rosemary has been such a wonderful friend and supporter of Cnoc Mhuire over the years. From welcoming our English classes to the library, opening early to facilitate interviews, to facilitating events, such as the civic reception for our All-Ireland winning football team. Rosemary has always gone above and beyond for our school and students.💙

Over the years, she has seen many principals, deputy principals, staff and students come and go, but her friendly smile, kind words and unwavering support have remained constant.

We will miss you, Rosemary. Thank you for everything you have done for Cnoc Mhuire and for the wider Granard community. Enjoy this exciting next chapter — and now that you have a little more time, don’t be a stranger! We’ll have the kettle on for you.

It was wonderful to see everyone and celebrate all their hard work and achievements. We wish each and every one of our students the very best of luck as they begin the next chapter of their journey. 💙

A reminder to all our 6th Year students that your Leaving Certificate results will be available online from 10 am on Friday, 21st August via Candidate Self Service Portal.
Alternatively, you can collect your results here in Cnoc Mhuire on Friday between 11 am and 12 pm.
Even if you have already accessed your results online, please feel free to come in from 11am - 12pm, so we can mark this important milestone together with a cup of tea/coffee and a chat.
Ms Comiskey and Ms Cattigan will be available to answer any questions you may have.
Whatever your next steps, we are incredibly proud of all our Leaving Cert students as you start your new beginning.

Cnoc Mhuire Summer Programme 2026

Our focus this year was all about building confidence and connections, and we could not be prouder of how every single student stepped up, tried new things, and supported one another.

We made unforgettable memories together, from brilliant day trips to fantastic in-school events. Highlights included: Meeting the animals at Mollie Moo’s Pet Farm, Exploring the beautiful grounds of Tullynally Castle and a fun day out at the Cinema in Mullingar.

None of this would have been possible without the amazing team who worked tirelessly to make it happen. A special word of thanks to our fantastic teachers: Mr. Farrell, Ms. Leonard, and Ms. Byrne, our wonderful SNAs: Simon and Madison and our brilliant organisers: Ms. Rabbitt and Mr. Nally.

Thank you all for your energy, dedication, and hard work! 👏👏

To our amazing students: Well done on a great fortnight! You were brilliant. Now, go enjoy the rest of your well-deserved summer break! ☀️😎
