The Department is aiming to consolidate its current excellent research profile in areas of social psychology such as social identity, social development, social cognition and decision making, minority majority relations, prejudice, social exclusion and crowd behaviour. There are over 120 women's sheds dotted around the country providing a space where women of all ages and backgrounds meet regularly to share skills, learn from experts, do creative activities or simply have a cup of tea and a chat.

On the RTÉ Brainstorm podcast, UL's Dr Megan Vine spoke to Ronan Kelly about her research on women's sheds and the importance of these spaces for social connection and well-being.
