The Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhavnagar, today organized a dynamic project demonstration and poster presentation for its 4th-semester students. The event focused on the core subject of Linear Integrated Circuits (LIC), providing a platform for students to transition from textbook concepts to functional hardware.
Students developed a variety of mini-projects utilizing operational amplifiers, timers, and voltage regulators. From signal generators to sensor-based automation, the lab came alive with working prototypes.
Alongside the hardware, detailed poster presentations allowed students to explain the circuit topology, design calculations, and practical applications of their work.
The event was graced by an Industry Expert who served as the guest judge. The expert meticulously reviewed each project, offering "on-the-bench" feedback that bridged the gap between academic learning and industrial standards.
The industry judge highly appreciated the students' technical skills and creativity, noting that the ability to troubleshoot real-world circuits is a vital trait for future engineers.
"This experience was more than just a requirement; it helped us understand the depth of LIC. Seeing a waveform on the CRO that we designed ourselves makes the math finally click!" — Participating Students.
