The West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal will open for online applications for admission to various colleges in West Bengal from 18th May and closes on 1st July 2026

We successfully hosted an exciting Inter-College Volleyball Tournament organized by Gorkha Janmukti Vidhyarthi Morcha (GJVM) in collaboration with the Darjeeling Government College Sports Committee!

A heartfelt thank you to all the participating colleges, players, volunteers, and supporters who made this event a grand success. Your energy, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship truly brought the tournament to life. Special thanks to the organizing teams for their dedication and hard work. Here's to more such spirited events in the future!

Inter-College Volleyball Tournament, 2025
An Inter-College Volleyball Tournament (Boys & Girls) was held in Darjeeling
Government College on the 15th of May, 2025. The event brought together teams from Darjeeling Government College, St.Joseph’s College, Southfield College, BT College, Bijanbari Degree College and Ghoom Jorebungalow College to compete in a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, showcasing their volleyball skills and teamwork.
The tournament featured exciting matches, with teams displaying impressive serves, spikes, and blocks. The competition was fierce, but the sportsmanship and enthusiasm of the
players were evident throughout.
The winners of the tournament were in Boys’ category was Bijanbari Degree College. The Runner’s up of the tournament in boys’ category was Ghoom Jorebungalow Degree College.
The winners of the tournament in Girls’ category was Southfield College. The Runner’s up in girls’category was BT College.
The best players of the tournament were:
Ashiana Tamang, Southfield College (Girls’ Category) and Ajay Limbu, Bijanbari Degree College (Boys’ Category)
The player of the tournament was Passang Lepcha, Bijanbari Degree College (Boys’Category)
The player of the tournament was Lukmit Lepcha, Southfield College (Girls’ Category).
The Inter-college Volleyball Tournament was a resounding success, promoting healthy competition and teamwork among the participating colleges. The event highlighted the importance of sports in fostering camaraderie, discipline, and physical fitness.
