15 August – Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic poems, speeches, patriotic songs and vibrant dance performances.
The “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign inspired everyone to honour the National Flag and remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
Officiating Principal Ma’am conveyed her best wishes and encouraged students to uphold unity, integrity and national values.
The celebration concluded with the National Anthem with pride and respect. 🇮🇳

International Youth Day was celebrated at G.T.B. Khalsa College of Education, Dasuya with great enthusiasm. The programme began with the College Shabad. Anchal served as the Stage Secretary. Gurleen presented a short poem on the importance of youth, while Lavanya shared her views on the role of youth in today’s scenario.
Asst. Prof. Manwinderjit Kaur highlighted the importance of youth engagement at local, national and global levels in strengthening institutions and processes. Officiating Principal Sandeep Boski Ji also addressed the students and highlighted the importance of Youth Day, encouraging them to become responsible and active contributors to society.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem.

On August 8, 2026, an On-the-Spot Teaching Aids Preparation Competition was organized by GTB Khalsa College of Education, Dasuya, Hoshiarpur. During the competition, students prepared still models, working models, and 3D models based on their major and minor teaching subjects.

The models were judged by Asst. Prof. Pardeep Singh Sahota and Asst. Prof. Inderpreet Kaur on the basis of creativity, innovation, presentation, and cost-effectiveness. Certificates were awarded to all the winners and award recipients, including students securing First, Second, and Third positions, as well as Appreciation, Individual Presenter, and Team Presenter Awards, in recognition of their outstanding efforts, presentation, creativity, and participation.

Teej Festival was celebrated in G.T.B. Khalsa College of Education Dasuya in collaboration with G.T.B. Khalsa College for Women Dasuya. The programme was started with College shabad. Dr. Rupinder Kaur Gill was the stage secretary. Chief guest was Davinder Kaur Randhawa. Main attractions of the day were Kheer Pude, gidha boliyan, punjabi folk dances and folk songs. Mehandi and Meediyan Competition was also conducted and winners were appreciated.

A free B.Ed. Entrance Test Coaching Programme organized for B.Ed. aspirants to help them prepare effectively for the entrance examination. The coaching sessions were conducted over four days, from July 21 to July 25, 2026. Asst. Prof. Inderpreet Kaur provided comprehensive guidance on General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Asst. Prof. Raj Kumar conducted informative sessions on Teaching Aptitude, Asst. Prof. Dr. Gagandeep Kaur delivered enriching lectures on General Mental Ability and Asst. Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College of Education, Dasuya, under the aegis of IQAC and Eco Club, celebrated the 77th Van Mahotsav from 10–16 July 2026 in collaboration with National EduTrust of India, Samarpan Society, Miri Piri Sewa Society, Save Shivalik Save Mother Earth, Baba Deep Singh Sewa Dal Society, and Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College for Women, Dasuya.

The week-long programme was organized to pay tribute to Dr. M. S. Randhawa, the pioneer of the Van Mahotsav movement. The inaugural function featured lamp lighting, college shabad, a PPT presentation on Van Mahotsav, and inspiring addresses by the chief guests. Tree plantation was also carried out under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.”

Throughout the week, various activities were organized, including a Tree Adoption Drive, Inter-College Poster Making Competition, tree plantation drives in nearby villages and schools, and a Plant Langar, where saplings were distributed free of cost.

The programme concluded with a valedictory function attended by distinguished guests from educational institutions and social organizations. Certificates were awarded to volunteers and winners for their active participation. The event successfully promoted environmental awareness, tree conservation, and community participation, reaffirming the institution's commitment to sustainable development.
