National Author’s Day organized by the Literary committee of Pranab College.
The event was hosted by Veronica K. Yeptho of BA 5th Semester, featuring insightful presentations on the significance of literature across regions and authors. The session included engaging talks on North East Indian literature, Bengali and Hindi authors, and the rich storytelling of Naga writers.
The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Veronica K. Yeptho.

✨ Inter-Higher Secondary School Quiz 2025! 🧠🎓
The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with IQAC, Pranab College, Dimapur, successfully hosted the 1st Inter-Higher Secondary School Quiz Competition on October 30, 2025.

Five schools showcased their brilliance, with Pranab Vidyapith Hr. Sec. School emerging as the winner and Carmel Hr. Sec. School securing second place. 🏆👏

The Innovation and Development Committee (IDC) organised an awareness program on the topic AI tools and the ethical use of AI on 28th oct 2025 with Mr. Vivekananda, associate professor HOD, dept of computer science and engineering, St. joseph University as a resource person. He also emphasized the ethical considerations of AI, such as data privacy, bias in algorithms, and responsible use of technology. His talk encouraged participants to view AI not just as a tool for convenience but as a responsibility that requires moral and social awareness. The session concluded with Q&A. The program was chaired by Ms. Bendangmongla Lemdur, Asst. Prof. Department of Commerce and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Ulla Laureen Fernandez, Asst. Prof. Department of Education.

The Red Ribbon Club, Pranab College Student's union, and Department of Sociology in collaboration with Blood Center, District Hospital Dimapur and DISHA organized a " Blood Donation Camp Cum HIV/AIDS Awareness Camp" on Oct 24, 2025.
The programmed was chaired by Ms. Olivia J Kikon, Asst. Prof., Department of Sociology. Mr. I. Imkongakum. Ao, Convener of Red Ribbon Club, Pranab College delivered the welcome address.
A session on Blood Donation was conducted by Dr. Arihant Jain, resource person who highlighted on the importance of Blood Donation and emphasized the importance of blood donation and encourage students to come forward and save lives.
Miss. Tanu Jain, the chairperson of DISHA also presented on the importance of HIV/AIDS awareness and to abstain from risky behaviour. The awareness campaign helped the students to understand the preventive measures, causes and social responsibility towards building a healthy and informed community. The programme ended with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Seiboy Khongsai, Department of Sociology.
The students of Pranab College actively participated in the Blood Donation Camp Cum HIV/AIDS Awareness Camp with a total of 24 students donating Blood.

A Talk on “The Impact of Psychosocial Issues Among Students”.
Oct 22, 2025. Pranab College. Dimapur.

The Women Development Cell, Pranab College, in collaboration with District Mental Health Programme (DMHP), District Hospital, Dimapur, Nagaland, organised a talk on “The impact of psychosocial issues among students”.
The resource person, Dr. Temsuyanger, SMO(Psychiatrist) District Mental Health Programme (DMHP) Dimapur, Nagaland, higlighted on the need to create awareness among students with the core objectives to identify the prevalent psychosocial issues such as peer pressure, bullying, addiction to mobile games, and self-generated pressure by following healthy habits like time management, limiting screen time, focusing on spiritual well-being and maintaining realistic goals. The talk ended with an insightful Q&A session.
During the ice-breaker session, Miss Mhiephronguno Khate, Clinical Psychologist(DMHP), conducted a laughter therapy with the students to highlight the importance of stress management.
The moderator of the programme was Dr. Alomi Cynthia Shikhu, Asst. Prof., Department of Sociology. Welcome address was delivered by Mrs. Rina A**l, Asst. Prof., Department of Education.
