Ananya, the unparalleled is the literary and debating club of YMCAUST, Faridabad. Ananya the literary club of the J.C.

Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA was started around 25 years back by a passionate group of people in 1996. The club was initially named as Abhivyakti, but the name was changed to Ananya the unparalleled in 2006. Various sessions like debate,group discussion,mock parliament,declamation,just-a-minute(JAM) etc. are conducted weekly in both english and hindi which help students to over

come the inhibition associated with public speaking.Be it speaking,stage handling,or organising Ananya does it all. Another beautiful word associated with Ananya is FURORE. Furore is the wall magazine of Ananya.11 september,2006 was the day when the furore was put up for the first time. The members of the club pen down their views,ideas and creativity and display it on the Furore. "House of thoughts, n dreams n visions,
eloquent speeches and poetic frissons,
that eyes can't see those dreams we seek,
we soar the heights eagles can't reach. In god's own heaven, amidst twinkling stars,
or the musty dark death reek of wars,
alexander achilles, we read there minds,
and trap forever there schemes divine. Ananyans we are, words are our domain,
our furore scorches the vainest of brains,
modesty failed us so long ago,undisputed we are,
know thyself and proclaim, we are the superstars !! "

Another chapter added to the legacy of eloquence as Ananya, The Unparalleled successfully conducted the Annual Intra-Society PD Debate 2025!

This year’s championship was a celebration of intellect, collaboration, and conviction where young minds came together to challenge assumptions, build arguments, and defend ideas with passion and logic.

Participants demonstrated not just their speaking skills but also their capacity for listening and critical thought via several rounds of vigorous debate and lively rebuttals.

On 28th October 2025, we, the members of Ananya, the Unparalleled, the literary and debating society of our university had the chance to organise a conventional debate competition in collaboration with NTPC, as a part of Vigilance Awareness Week. The event aimed to foster active participation of youth in spreading awareness about integrity, shared moral values, and social evils that continue to persists, mightier than ever.

The competition witnessed participants with multiple strong intellectual clashes and passionate oratory, yet, a few stood out more than the others. The competition was judged by NTPC, along with Prof Pradeep Kumar, Dean Student Welfare and Prof Sonia Bansal, HOD Physics Department, who also felicitated the winners with multiple goodies, for their well-articulated speeches. The winners are as follows:
1st position: Saumya Joshi (Msc Biotech 2nd year)
2nd position: Diya Sobti (BBA 1st year)
3rd position: Vansh Jain(Bcom 3rd year)
Consolation: Tanishttha Sehgal(Btech CE 3rd year) and Manya Chauhan(Btech ME 2nd year)

On the occasion of Foundation Day 2025, our club was honoured with the “Best Cultural Club” award, an achievement possible thanks to the support of many, but most of all, to our respected Faculty Coordinator, Dr. Ashlesha Gupta, and Co-Coordinator, Dr. Shivi Garg, for their unwavering support and continuous guidance!

This day stands as a true acknowledgement of the efforts, dedication, and sincere contributions of every member of this club, from our current team to all the alumni who once stood where we are today, laying the foundation with their relentless hard work and passion.

This recognition is a celebration of every debate, every late-night prep session, and every voice that found the courage to own the stage and speak their truth, even when there was no microphone to echo it.

To our lovely seniors,

Farewells are never easy. They are bitter sweet parts of our lives with a chapter closing and a mix of new beginnings. When an act of a story ends, it is followed up by another, the years the batch of 2025 spent in Ananya is a slice of their story. It encompasses all the great heights, the wins, the celebration together; while also playing a part as a senior, a mentor, and someone who passes down their legacy so those heights, wins and celebrations can continue with a new batch.

As the curtains close we reflect on the graduating batch of 2025, with great hope and admiration. We want to say it has been a great journey and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Your sessions and guidance will pave a new path for us and the coming batches to follow, you will always be in our hearts. The bonds we have created will always be there, Ananya will always be there beyond your graduation and follow into the new chapters of your life.

Congratulations on completing this journey, this step, which is more than just a degree. As you take the next step onto the ladder, we wish it is filled with the same aspiration, dreams and newer heights for you to achieve. For we now carry to achieve what you have, grant us your best wishes as we wish you the best as well for the future. Ananya will always have an imprint of yours, that won’t wash away.

Ananya, The Unparalleled proudly organized "INDIA INKED", a 3-category based creative submission competition that brought together poetry writing, poster-making, and slogan writing under the resonant theme: “Nation First | Rashtra Pratham.”

From powerful prose to soul-stirring slogans and the most artistic posters, we witnessed a wave of voices and compositions that echoed the spirit of unity, pride, and resilience. Each submission was a heartfelt tribute to the belief that putting the nation first begins with expression.

There comes a time in everyone's life, where they must pass down their legacy. Not only of them, but of everyone that came before them. The pieces of their hearts are placed in this never ending light, to ensure it keeps burning. Even if the Torch Bearer changes, even if their watch ends, someone must ensure for the light to burn bright, for it to pave a path to whoever seeks. With that, our time has come.

Reflecting on the past, we stride on, hoping for a better future. We stride on bestowing the best of us onto the new position holders. With the curtains of night falling for us, the sun must also rise for them. "Isn't it pretty to think so?" Ernest Hemingway ended his book with this line, and this is how we would like to end our journey as well.

We hope that the new ones stand where we stood but taller, brighter, bolder, better. For Ananya to keep shining, for it to be brimming with more - we now take the pleasure to announce the Union of 2025-26. Stepping into the shoes of Joint Secretaries are Digvijay, Himanshi and Vanshika. With more defined parts to play, we welcome some new roles to fill, Debating Head - Raghav Verma. Poetry Head - A***n Nishad and Vansh Jain. Lecture Head - Umesh and Parth Dalal. The Design Head - A***n Nishad. HOY Heads - Anwesha Kat and Rajyavardhan Singh.

The Union of 2024 - Dev Khokhar, Hemjha S. Kaul and Satyam Bhushan have been promoted to Secretaries of the club. The new Senior Debating Head - Ankit and Dev Singh. Senior Poetry Head - Ria and Vatsala. Senior Lecture Head - Vanshika. The Senior Design Head - Kajal. HOY Heads - Vatsala and Kajal.

With this we hope Ananya keeps being a home for all the debaters, writers, poets, thinkers and everything in between. For the club to nurture and grow.

Ananya, The Unparalleled - The Literary and Debating Society of J. C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, awaits passionate writers and articulate debaters, as we proudly announce our auditions for this year!
Grab this opportunity to be a part of a community that thrives on debating, poetry, and unparalleled wit!

Ananya, The Unparalleled, will help unleash your creativity, refine your eloquence, and shape your skills which will define your personality. Seize the chance to showcase your passion and become part of a vibrant community, where words inspire and ideas flourish!

The audition process consists of three rounds :

◻Round 1: Conventional Debate and Creative Writing.

This round is further divided into two rounds and participation in both of them is mandatory.

i) Conventional Debate: The topic of the debate will be provided a day before the round. The total speaking time is 2 minutes. 1.5 minutes will be provided to present the arguments and 30 seconds for the conclusion.
ii) Creative writing: The topic will be given on the spot and the participants will be given 20 minutes to complete their piece in any format.

◻Round 2: Extempore

◻Round 3: Personal Interview

Rules for the auditions :
♦The auditions are bilingual, i.e. both Hindi and English are allowed. However, the use of Hinglish is strictly prohibited.
♦The decision of judges shall be final and binding.

Ananya: The Unparalleled, The literary and debating society of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology successfully managed and organised Crossroads: A Fresher's Debate, where the batch of 2024 freshers stepped up to the stage celebrating not only the ignition of ideas but of words and wit.
