As part of their academic curriculum,students of 5th Semester, Royal School of Architecture (RSA), accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hari Prasad Agarwal, Dean, RSA, conducted an architectural case study on 12th August 2026. The study explored residential planning, structural systems, building materials, MEP services, circulation, and community amenities such as the swimming pool, gym, badminton court, play area, and yoga space. Special emphasis was given to climate-responsive design, including building orientation, natural lighting, ventilation, and thermal comfort strategies. The visit provided valuable practical exposure by bridging classroom learning with real-world residential architecture.

A case study visit was conducted on 14.08.2026 by the students of 3rd Semester B.Arch accompanied by Ar. Kasturi Borah to Green Valley Public School, Khanamukh.

The site planning, building layout, classrooms, circulation, furniture arrangement, open spaces and other functional areas of the school were studied during the visit. The building was documented through photographs, sketches, drawings and measurements, which helped in understanding its planning and spatial organization.

The experience was found to be informative and enriching. An opportunity was provided to connect theoretical knowledge with a real-life building and to understand the practical aspects of school architecture.

Sincere gratitude is extended to the management, teachers and staff of Green Valley Public School for their valuable time, support and cooperation, which made the case study a meaningful learning experience.

The students of B.Arch 3rd Sem visited SFS School, Narengi for a case study on 8th August 2026. The students were accompanied by the faculty members Ar. Kasturi Borah and Ms. Diksha Dutta.
It was an informative and enriching experience that helped the students understand the planning, spaces, circulation, and overall functioning of a school building. It was a wonderful learning experience that gave us deeper insights into school architecture.
