The IQAC of Government Model Degree College, Diblong, organized the inaugural lecture of the “Beyond the Classroom” Monthly Talk Series. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Sudakshana Gogoi, who highlighted Assam’s socio-economic transformation from the Assam Movement to the era of microfinance and discussed the evolving aspirations of Assamese youth.

The session stimulated meaningful discussions among students and faculty members. The programme was hosted by Dr. Mohan Pathak, Coordinator, IQAC, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Veveek Thaosen, Joint Coordinator, IQAC.

The Environment and Climate Cell, Eco Club, and IQAC of Government Model Degree College, Diblong, in collaboration with the Dima Hasao Forest Division (East), observed World Environment Day on 8 June 2026 by organizing various competitions, including a poster-making competition, an essay-writing competition, and a quiz competition. Students from schools across the Langting Zone enthusiastically participated in these events. Certificates and prizes were awarded to the winners in recognition of their outstanding performances.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between Government Model Degree College, Diblong, and the Dima Hasao Forest Division (East), marking a significant step towards strengthening mutual cooperation and collaboration between the two institutions.

On this occasion, Dr. Deborah Daulagupu, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Lumding College delivered an insightful lecture as the resource person. The programme was graced by the presence of Shri Tuhin Langthasa, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Haflong, Shri Sujit Kumar Sinha, Principal i/c, Government Model Degree College, Diblong, and Dr. Sarbojit Thaosen, Principal, Haflong Government College.

The Second Merit List for admissions to the Academic Session 2026-27 has been published.
The list is now available on the College website. Shortlisted students are requested to report to the college for admission between 10th and 12th June 2026.
Students whose names do not appear in the merit lists may attend the spot admission process on 15th June 2026.

Important Instructions:
1. Report to the admission counter between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM on the specified dates.
2. Bring all the required documents for verification.

List of Documents Required:
1. Printed copy of SAMARTH application form
2. 2 passport-size photographs
3. HSLC Admit Card, Marksheet, and Certificate
4. Higher Secondary Admit Card, Marksheet, and Certificate
5. Address Proof: PAN Card OR AADHAR Card OR Passbook with photograph
6. Caste Certificate, if applicable
7. Gap Certificate, if applicable
8. For free admission: Copy of Ration Card OR current year Income Certificate issued by the Land & Revenue Department, NCHAC, for annual income below ₹4 lakh
9. For fee waiver(free admission): Photograph of the candidate planting a sapling

To commemorate this historic occasion, Government Model Degree College, Diblong actively participated in the district-wide cleanliness drive along with various institutions and organisations of Dima Hasao.

As part of the programme, the NSS Unit and the Environment & Climate Cell, in collaboration with the Eco Club of the college, conducted a Cleanliness Drive within the college campus to spread awareness on cleanliness, environmental protection, and community responsibility. 🌱🧹

A proud and significant day for our college!

We had the honour of welcoming the Inspection Commission Members from Assam University, Silchar and Assam University, Diphu Campus for affiliation as well as Examination Centre. The Commission was headed by Shri Kusumbar Boruah; Dr. Suprabir Dutta Roy, Controller of Examinations, AUS; Dr. Jayantha Bhattacharjee, Director, CDC, AUS and other respected members of the Commission, from AUS and AUDC.

During their visit, the members of the Commission interacted with the students and faculty members, offering valuable guidance and words of encouragement. Their interaction was truly inspiring and motivating for our academic community.

Their visit, valuable observations, and constructive suggestions will certainly guide us towards further strengthening our academic and examination standards.
