ICccR and HRM, University of Jammu, organizes an enlightening lecture on “Awareness session regarding Self Employment Schemes of Govt. and National Career Service Portal” by the DECC Jammu team. During the session, students were introduced to various career options available after completing their post graduation.

The lecture featured insights into Mission Yuva, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Tejaswini Scheme, and the Spurring Entrepreneurship Programme. The DECC team provided insights into different fields, including technology and business, emphasizing the importance of aligning personal interests and strengths with career choices.

The initiative was made possible under the visionary leadership of Prof. Hardeep Chahal, Director, ICccR & HRM, whose unwavering support and commitment to student development has been instrumental in organizing this impactful session. The session was coordinated by Dr. Parul Mahajan along with Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Dr. Neha Gupta, Dr. Shivani Rana and Dr. Swati Sharma.

ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu, organized expert talk on the theme, “National Income: The Backbone of Economic Analysis and Business Strategy” for the students of MBA (IB) semester I and semester III. The objective of the talk was to educate, inform, and inspire both current and future economic thinkers, providing them with the necessary tools to understand economic realities and make informed decisions.

Prof. Meenakshi Rajeev, Professor of Economics and Dean (DI), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu was the resource person and expert for the session. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Meenakshi provided a comprehensive overview of the vital role national income plays in shaping both economic policy and business strategy.

Attendees learned how policymakers use national income data to shape fiscal policies, design economic strategies, and address issues such as inflation, unemployment, and inequality. The seminar also touched on the role of national income in comparing global economies and its significance for international business.

Professor Hardeep Chahal, Director, IcccR & HRM, University of Jammu welcomed the resource person and highlighted the session's relevance in today’s dynamic global economy: She deliberated upon organizing such lectures to enrich participants’ knowledge, foster critical thinking, and equip them with the skills needed to engage with national and global economic issues.

Coordinated by Dr. Swati Sharma, and other faculty members Dr. Isha Sharma, Dr. Neha Gupta, Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Dr. Shivani Rana and Dr. Parul Mahajan, the event concluded with a lively Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to ask questions and delve deeper into the complex relationships betwnational income, economic theory, and business practice.

ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu, in collaboration with Global Shapers Jammu and the JK Arts foundation organized an outreach visit under the ‘Project Khwaishein’ at Residential school for Visually Impaired boys and Louis Braille Memorial Residential School for sightless girls, Roop Nagar, Jammu. The event aimed to spread joy and inclusivity, as well as to provide much-needed support in the form of donated items that would contribute to the students’ well-being.

During the visit, the students and faculty of ICccR & HRM as well as members from the collaborating bodies, donated essential supplies, through which the department aimed to support the everyday needs of the students, while sharing in the joy and happiness with these students.

Professor Hardeep Chahal, Director of ICccR & HRM at the University of Jammu, emphasized the significance of organizing community-focused events like this outreach visit, which aim to create lasting positive impacts and inspire inclusivity.

This initiative was organized by Dr. Isha Sharma and Dr. Parul Mahajan, with the support of other faculty members, including Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Dr. Neha Gupta, Dr. Shivani Rana, and Dr. Swati Sharma from ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu.

Shivam Gupta, Hasit Sachdev and Urvashi, as alumni of the MBA (International Business) program, along with Ms. Geeta Vaishnavi, the founding curator of Global Shapers Jammu Hub and CEO of JK Art Foundation, and Urmila Palwal, the vice curator, all played an instrumental role. Their contributions and efforts in managing resources for the visit demonstrate a strong commitment to community service and inclusivity. Their involvement not only facilitated logistical support but also provided an opportunity to bring diverse experiences and insights to the students.

From Mr. Amit Kumar, Director of Google Cloud India talking about Gen AI , to Mr.Akshya Kumar Co-founder of Officebanao sharing their startup journey. It was great hearing Ms. Aishwarya Malhi, Co-founder of Rebalance giving investor insights —the event was full of inspiration!

We had a fun conversation about how some companies are slapping .ai domain on everything, whether they’re using Gen AI or just using it as a trendy hat!

Got to meet some brilliant startup founders working on crazy innovations! From using satellite sourcing and AI to empower farmers to building intercity carpools.

The experience was one for the books... and the Google food? Absolutely legendary!

ICccR & HRM at University of Jammu, organized a guest lecture on "Re-inventing Workplaces: Contemporary Issues in HR," featuring Ms. Muskan Gupta, an esteemed alumnus of the MBA (IB) 2019-21 batch and current HR professional at OYO Hotels.

Ms. Gupta delivered an insightful and engaging session that addressed the rapidly evolving landscape of human resources. Her presentation focused on key contemporary challenges, including the dynamics of remote work, the importance of diversity and inclusion, and the growing emphasis on employee well-being in the workplace. Drawing on her professional experience, Ms. Gupta shared real-world examples and strategies that resonated deeply with both students and faculty.
