Our students had an inspiring and knowledge-filled visit to the Startup Mela held at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur on 21 March 2026. Organized by Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), IIT Kanpur and Vigyan Bharati, Brahmavart Prant, the event gave our students a wonderful opportunity to explore innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging startup ideas.

A group of students from Jagran College of Arts, Science and Commerce, guided by Mrs. Neelanshi Trivedi and Mr. Prateek Arora, interacted with startup founders, witnessed live demos, and attended insightful sessions on business planning, funding, marketing, and innovation.The experience sparked creativity, strengthened entrepreneurial thinking, and connected classroom learning with real-world applications.

Industrial Visit to Cyber Security Cell – IIT Kanpur πŸ”

On 17th March 2026, the BCA Second Year students of Jagran College of Arts & Commerce, under the TechBuzz Club, successfully organized an insightful Industrial Visit to the Cyber Security Cell at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.A total of 47 enthusiastic students participated in the visit, accompanied by faculty members from the BCA Department β€” Mrs. Priya Arora, Mr. Nikhil Shukla, and Ms. Hema Mishra. πŸ‘©β€πŸ«πŸ‘¨β€πŸ«
The session was conducted by Cyber Commando Instructor, Aman Raj, who provided students with deep insights into the practical world of Cyber Security. Through engaging interactions, students explored real-world cyber threats and their impact.

β€’ Understanding major cyber threats like Phishing, Malware & Social Engineering

πŸ…βœ¨ Annual Athletics Meet 2026 – A Grand Celebration of Sportsmanship & Excellence βœ¨πŸ…

The two-day Annual Athletics Meet at Jagran College of Arts Science and Commerce, Saket Nagar, Kanpur, concluded successfully with great enthusiasm and competitive spirit. The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Asmita Dubey, who administered the oath of fair play and encouraged all athletes to participate with dedication and integrity.

More than 250 athletes competed in various track and field events including 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m races, 4Γ—100m relay, Long Jump, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, and Discus Throw. Gurpal Kaur and Romil Chaudhary secured gold in Long Jump, while Palak Vohra and Prince Shukla won the 400m race. Bandisha Nigam and Abhijeet Singh topped the 1500m event. Richa Kumari achieved a commendable double victory in Shot Put and Discus Throw. In the 800m race, Soumya Kumari and Prince Shukla claimed first position, and the women’s 4Γ—100m relay team comprising Soumya Kumari, Bandisha Nigam, Riddhima Gupta, and Anshika Verma also finished first.

Based on overall performances, Palak Vohra was declared Best Athlete of the Year (Girls) and Prince Shukla was declared Best Athlete of the Year (Boys). Soumya Kumari was recognized as an Exemplary Athlete for her commendable performance during the meet.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Rajeev Singh, Station House Officer, Hanumant Vihar Police Station, and Special Guest Manvendra Singh, Chowki Incharge, who encouraged students to maintain discipline and strive for continuous improvement. The event was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Gaurav Sharma and witnessed the presence of faculty members and staff, making the two-day athletics meet a grand success.
