Free Health Checkup Camp

The Staff Welfare Association organized a Free Health Checkup Camp on June 06, 2026, at Lecture Hall–09, in collaboration with Swasthya Health and Clove Dental Clinics.

The camp witnessed active participation from Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, Principal, along with teaching and non-teaching staff members. The health screening was conducted by Mr. Rakesh, M.Sc. (MLT) and Mr. Aravind, Optometrist, who provided valuable health assessments and guidance.

The initiative was highly appreciated by the participants, promoting the importance of regular health checkups and overall well-being. The programme served as a reminder that good health is the foundation of personal and professional success.

World Environment Day – Plantation Drive 2026

On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, Eco Club of our Institution organized a Plantation Drive, on June 06, 2026, at Dhanvantri Garden, SCS Riverside Campus, Mangaluru, to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students and staff.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, Principal, and coordinated by Ms. Shudeeksha and Ms. Saraswathi Chinnakatti. Teaching and non-teaching staff, along with students, actively participated in the initiative.

As part of the programme, saplings were planted by the participants, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation, ecological balance, and creating a greener future. The event also encouraged everyone to adopt eco-friendly habits and contribute towards protecting nature.

The plantation drive concluded with a strong message on environmental responsibility and collective action for a sustainable tomorrow. 🌿

SAARTHAKAM 2026 – Farewell Ceremony for the Outgoing Batch (2023–26)

The Farewell Ceremony – SAARTHAKAM 2026 was held on June 03, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the Basement Atrium, celebrating the journey and achievements of the outgoing batch.

A special highlight of the programme was the unveiling of the batch photograph (Smriti Anavaranam) by Mr. Yashwin, Admission Officer, followed by the release of the Farewell Souvenir (Smriti-Chihnam) by Mr. U. K. Khalid, Administrative Officer, K.E.C.T., SCS Group of Institutions.

Outgoing student representatives from BBA, BCA, B.Com, and B.Sc. AVE shared their memorable experiences, while junior students extended their heartfelt farewell wishes. Heads of various departments addressed the gathering and encouraged students to pursue excellence in their future endeavors.

Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, Principal, delivered the farewell message, motivating students to face future challenges with confidence and determination. The programme concluded with the Presidential Address by Mr. U. K. Khalid and a vote of thanks by Ms. Apoorva.

Valedictory Ceremony of Tulu Drama Workshop & Drama Performance

The Valedictory Ceremony of the Tulu Drama Training Workshop, organized jointly by the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and SCS First Grade College, Urwa, was held on June 03, 2026, in the College Basement Atrium, followed by a vibrant Tulu drama performance by the participants.

The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Sai Chetan, Actor, who emphasized the importance of theatre as a continuous learning process that nurtures creativity and self-expression. Mr. Tharanath Gatti Kapikad, President, Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, presided over the function and highlighted the role of theatre in enhancing students’ creative thinking and academic growth.

The programme was graced by the presence of Mr. Yogeesh Shetty, Workshop Director; Mr. Jagan Pawar, Theatre Director; Mrs. Suchithra P. Shetty, Head, Department of Kannada; and Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, Principal, who welcomed the gathering.

Students Rithesh Poojary and Shashank shared their experiences from the workshop. The programme was compered by Megha, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Deeksh*tha, Coordinator, Tulu Sangha.

Awareness Campaign – Segregate Today, Sustain Tomorrow

The Eco Club conducted an awareness campaign titled “Segregate Today, Sustain Tomorrow” from May 20, to May 31, 2026, with the objective of promoting waste segregation and sustainable living practices.

A total of 7 teams participated in the campaign, visiting 28 shops and interacting with shop owners and customers to create awareness about wet and dry waste management, pollution reduction, resource conservation, and environmental protection.

As part of the initiative, participants and members of the public also took a pledge to practice waste segregation and contribute towards a cleaner and greener future.

The campaign was organized under the guidance of Ms. Sudeeksha, Ms. Saraswathi Chinnakatti, and Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, Principal. The programme successfully promoted environmental consciousness and community involvement for a sustainable tomorrow.

Lecture Series – 2 | Bharatiya Santa Parampara

The Department of Hindi, in association with ABRSM and KRMSS, organized “Lecture Series – 2” on the theme “Bharatiya Santa Parampara” on the occasion of Sant Ravidas 650th Jayanti Celebration on May 18, 2026, at 11:00 A.M.

The programme was inaugurated by Shri Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, Former President, Dakshina Kannada District Kannada Sahitya Parishat. Prof. Nagarathna Rao delivered an insightful lecture on the teachings, philosophy, and social contributions of Sant Ravidas. The introductory speech was delivered by Dr. Madhav M. K., Joint Secretary, KRMSS.

The programme was presided over by Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, Principal. A total of 67 students actively participated in the session, which created awareness about equality, humanity, and Indian saint traditions.
