“Roister” means ‘the act of engaging in merrymaking’. A fiesta, a sporting eventthat is not just about sports, an event which has something for everyone,organized by and for one of the very few Professional Courses of University ofDelhi. Business Economics Department, Aryabhatta College, a greenhouse ofbudding managers, is proud to carry forward the legacy of ROISTER.

Founded in 2009, Roister has been the star sporting event of the colleges
associated with the course Bachelors of Business Economics since all these years.A celebration, an elixir, a festival; a Sports Tournament/Team Building Initiative,the Legacy of our seniors, of our college, being carried forward this year, the wayit has never been done before, the way none of the Inter-College Sports Tournament have never been looked upon at.

In association with Satyarthi Foundation, we have tried to do our bit towards thewelfare of the children and abolition Child Labor practices around varioussystems.

A series of Team Building Events(TBEs) will be organized, for inculcating the Team-Friendly behavior among the future managers; these events are also going to be a chance for those who are not representing there colleges in any mainstreamsports event, to be the part of something that is equally happening andchallenging.

Aayush Ajmani, a super senior, was a part of Roister’09 and Roister’10 taking part in sports such as football, cricket and volleyball. He was also an event coordinator so it’s safe to say that he knows all about the Roister legacy. We decided to catch hold of him and ask him a few questions to bring back some happy memories

Q1) What's your favourite memory of Roister?
Ans) When my whole college mates were cheering for me during my last jump in standing broad jump. Also when i went in for the toss in the final volleyball match. Goosebumps.

Q2) Being an organiser, how fulfilling was it for you to be a part of such a successful event?
Ans) Getting comments from other college participants such as
“it was a well organised event and by far the most fair one” made it all very satisfying.

Q3) Being a part of Roister, what impact did it have on you?
Ans) Roister improved my inter personal, time management, leadership skills. Taught me the value of teamwork
and most importantly
"Where there's a will, there's a way"

Q4) Describe Roister in a word or two.
Ans)Golden Brainchild

First of all, a big big thanks to MR. PREM KUMAR SINGH for a beautiful seminar. Every time, we will be in testing situations in our lives, your words, will inspire us, and hold us from giving up.

A big congratulations, to the . You guys are amazing. Long way to go, guys. Keep up the good work!!!
