Review Article by Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy Published in International Journal

Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy has earned recognition in the field of pharmaceutical research as final-year student Raksha Jadhav, along with faculty member Prof. Priyanka Thore and Principal Dr. Anil Jadhav, successfully published a review article titled “Ash Gourd in Modern Drug Delivery: Exploring Novel Formulations and its Applications” in the prestigious International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Vol. 4, Issue 4, 2026).

The review article highlights the medicinal and therapeutic importance of Benincasa hispida (Ash Gourd), popularly known as “Kushmanda” in Ayurveda. The publication discusses the plant’s anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, and detoxifying properties along with its rich mineral content including calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and selenium. The article also reviews the traditional medicinal use of ash gourd in managing diabetes, liver disorders, urinary infections, chronic inflammation, and neurological conditions, while exploring its potential applications in modern pharmaceutical drug-delivery systems.

The management of Shri Mahavir Education Society congratulated Raksha Jadhav and the research team for this academic achievement. Director Dr. Priyanka Zawar appreciated their efforts and stated that such research publications reflect the institute’s commitment toward innovation, scientific excellence, and quality pharmaceutical education. Shree Mahavir Education Society’s, Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy has achieved a proud academic milestone as final-year student Joel Alexander successfully published a review article in the reputed World Journal of Biology Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The achievement highlights the institute’s growing research culture and commitment to academic excellence.

The paper titled “A Comparative Pharmacological Review of Phaleria macrocarpa and Boswellia serrata as Potential Therapeutics for Inflammatory Bowel Disease” was co-authored by Joel Alexander along with faculty members Prof. Anagha Sarvadnya and Principal Dr. Anil Jadhav. The study presents a comprehensive scientific analysis of the pharmacological potential of these medicinal plants in the management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), emphasizing their anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties.

On this occasion, the management of Shree Mahavir Education Society, Director Dr. Priyanka Zawar and Teaching an nonteaching staff extended heartfelt congratulations to Joel Alexander and the co-authors Prof. Anagha Sarvadnya and Principal Dr. Anil Jadhav for their remarkable achievement. Founder Chairman Mr. Harish Sanghavi Honored with “Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar”

Shree Mahavir Education Society proudly announces that its Founder Chairman Mr. Harishbhai Laxmichand Sanghavi has been honored with the prestigious “Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar” (Lifetime Achievement Award) by Morbi Dasha Shrimali Mitra Mandal on 26 April 2026 in Mumbai.

Mr. Harish Sanghavi is the visionary founder of Shree Mahavir Education Society and has dedicated his life to the cause of technical education, especially for rural communities. Through his tireless efforts, he has significantly contributed to the upliftment of students from Dindori and rural areas of Nashik. Under his guidance, Mahavir institutions have flourished, and nearly 25,000 students have successfully passed out and are now working in national and international government as well as private sectors. Many alumni have also emerged as successful entrepreneurs, reflecting the strong educational foundation laid by the institution.

Apart from his contribution to education, Mr. Harish Sanghavi is also a respected industrialist in Nashik. He has successfully established and managed multiple industrial units employing many workers. His leadership in industry has contributed to economic growth and created valuable employment opportunities for local communities.

Blood Donation & Health Check-up Camp Successfully Organized by MIP

Mahavir Institute of Pharmacy, under Shree Mahavir Education Society, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp along with a Health and Eye Check-up Camp on the occasion of World Hemophilia Day on 16 April 2026 at Karmaveer Eknath Bhausaheb Sabhagruha, Mohadi, Dindori under the guidance and leadership of Principal Dr. Anil Jadhav, in collaboration with Synergy Hospital and Research Centre and Poona Blood Bank.

The initiative received an overwhelming response from students and local residents, with around 40 blood units collected, along with free health and eye check-up services promoting preventive healthcare awareness.

Students actively organized an awareness rally in Mohadi village focusing on voluntary blood donation, pharmacy awareness, and eradication of superstitions, Andhashraddha Nirmulan.

The program was graced by Director Dr. Priyanka Zawar, Sarpanch Aashatai Lahange, Upsarpanch Bhagyashree Jadhav, Prof. Kailas Kalamkar, and Dr. Chandrakant Patil.

Coordination support was provided by Mr. Rishikesh Gadkari, Mr. Sagar Nikam (Marketing Head, Synergy Hospital), Dr. Chandrakant Patil, and trustee members of Mohadi Grampanchayat, followed by a felicitation ceremony by Principal Dr. Anil Jadhav, along with expert talks. During rally students gives slogans for highlighting pharmacist role in healthcare.

A free health check-up camp including oxygen saturation, blood pressure, blood sugar, and BMI testing, along with an eye check-up camp for vision screening and counseling, was conducted, while a rally and skit were organized by students to spread awareness about blood donation, remove superstitions, and educate the public that blood donation is safe and life-saving, receiving a positive response from the community.

The management, Director Dr. Priyanka Zawar, Principal Dr. Anil Jadhav, and faculty appreciated the efforts of students and staff, reaffirming their commitment to community health initiatives.
