The Induction Ceremony of the XIV Batch (2025–2029) B.Sc Nursing students at P.K. Das College of Nursing was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Raji Raghunath, Dean, Faculty of Nursing, KUHS, Thrissur.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Chancellor, P.K. Das Deemed to be University & Chairman and Managing Trustee, NGI; Dr. R. C. Inauguration of Malhaar 2025 – A Colourful Start at P. K. Das College of Nursing
Malhaar 2025, the much-awaited two-day arts fest of the Student Nurses’ Association (SNA) North East Zone—comprising nursing colleges from Thrissur and Palakkad districts—was inaugurated in a vibrant ceremony at P. K. Das College of Nursing, Vaniyamkulam, on 25th June 2025.

The event was presided over by Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Chancellor of P. K. Das Deemed to be University and Honorary Trade Commissioner, Mauritius–India. Star Singer Season 9 finalists, Mrs. Anusree Anilkumar and Mr. Balram, jointly inaugurated the fest, infusing the event with music, energy, and excitement.

The inaugural ceremony was further enriched by the presence of Prof. Dr. A. Priya Mary Stella, Principal of P. K. Das College of Nursing, who offered felicitations. Mr. Sujith T., SNA Zonal Advisor – North East Zone (Kerala Branch), delivered the keynote address, encouraging students to pursue creativity and teamwork. Ms. Teja Elsa Shaji, SNA Vice Chairperson, and Mr. Swaroop S., Programme Coordinator, also addressed the gathering.

With over 500 student participants competing in 25 vibrant events, Malhaar 2025 began with a festive spirit, promising two days of spirited performances, cultural celebration, and youthful enthusiasm.

*The Graduation Ceremony of the IX Batch of B.Sc. Nursing students at P.K. DAS College of Nursing* conducted on 16th May 2025 was a proud and memorable milestone, graced by the esteemed presence of distinguished dignitaries. The *Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. C.P. Vijayan, Pro Vice Chancellor, Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS)*, inaugurated the event and formally declared the ceremony open, setting the tone for a momentous occasion. Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Honorary Trade Commissioner of Mauritius–India and Chairman & Managing Trustee , NGI, along with Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary, NGI, inspired the gathering with their encouraging words. The event was further enriched by the presence of our respected Principal, Prof. Dr. A. P K Das College of Nursing organized an insightful awareness session on the importance of voting, the election process, and the role of women in strengthening democracy,held on 5th March 2025. The session, led by Dr. Lisha Azeez (PhD in Law), Vice Principal of Nehru Academy of Law, Lakkidi, Palakkad, began with a welcome speech and an inaugural ceremony, where dignitaries lit the lamp. Dr. Priyamary Stella, Principal of PKDCN, and Lt. Col. Dr. Regina P. F. shared their valuable thoughts, enriching the event. Dr. Lisha Azeez’s presentation highlighted key aspects of the topic, and the session concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.

On 1st February 2025, the Mental Health Nursing (MHN) Department organized a heartwarming visit to Polygarden, where 90 fifth-semester students (2022-2026 Batch) spent a day with mentally challenged individuals. Led by Prof. Sathyasri, HOD, Mr. Liju James, Associate Professor, and Ms. Anitha, Lecturer, the students were welcomed by the Director, Mr. Sijo, who introduced the institution, its history, mission, and services. Polygarden is home to 125 residents, many of whom showcased their hidden talents during the visit.

The students began the day with a prayer song and performed cultural activities, engaging the residents to join in the performances. The day continued with health monitoring, where students checked blood pressure and weight for those in need. The experience left a lasting impact on the students, who shared their thoughts and gratitude at the end of the program, describing it as a truly memorable and enriching experience.

🩺💉The BSc Nursing lamp lighting ceremony was a momentous and inspiring event. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and pride as the nursing students, clad in their uniforms, gathered to symbolize the transition from theoretical learning to practical application in their careers.
