We are pleased to share that Mr. sathish nagarajan, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, SVCE, has successfully completed a Short Term Program on “Data Analytics and AI for Teaching and Research”
conducted by the UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre Pondicherry University, from 08–13 December 2025.

The Department of Biotechnology, SVCE is delighted to share that Dr. G. Karthigadevi, Assistant Professor, has successfully completed the International Staff Mobility Program at Manipal University College Malaysia (MUCM), Melaka, from 27 September 2025 to 11 October 2025.

This fully sponsored program by SVCE provided an excellent platform for international academic exposure, fostering meaningful interactions, collaborative learning, and knowledge exchange with global faculty and peers. The Department of Biotechnology, SVCE is pleased to announce that an Intramural Project Grant (UG) for the Academic Year 2025–2026 has been sanctioned by the Office of the Dean (Research), to Ms. MONICA S and Ms. Srinithi A under the guidance of Dr Karthigadevi Guruviah, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology for the project entitled " Bioactive Postbiotic Gel Development for Sustainable Post-Sun Skin Recovery and Microbiome-Driven Care" with a Grant Amount of ₹10,000/-.

🎉 Intramural Project Grant Sanctioned | SVCE 🎉

The Department of Biotechnology, SVCE, is pleased to announce that an Intramural Project Grant (PG) for the Academic Year 2025–2026 has been sanctioned by the Office of the Dean (Research), SVCE for the project entitled “A Novel Fenugreek-Derived Biopolymer for Microplastic Removal from the Human Gut Using an In Vitro Cell Culture Model.”

A grant of ₹10,000 has been awarded to Ms. Vasanthi Viswanathan, M.Tech Biotechnology (PG student), under the guidance of Dr. Isaivani jayachandran, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology.
This project highlights SVCE’s strong commitment to student-centric research, sustainable biotechnological innovations, and early exposure to funded research initiatives at the postgraduate level.

Greetings from the Department of Biotechnology, SVCE!

We are proud to share that our Second Year B.Tech Biotechnology students Ms. Nivethetha V, Ms. Tharini A L, Mr. Immanuel Nesaraja M, and Ms.Haritha T have secured 🥇 First Prize at BioBattle, conducted as part of Shaastra 2025, IIT Madras.

The award winning project was carried out under the able guidance of Dr. Isaivani jayachandran, and the team was honored with a cash prize of ₹12,000.

This prestigious national level competition provided an excellent platform for the students to showcase their innovative ideas and engage in interdisciplinary scientific problem solving.

🌟 We wish the team continued success in all their future academic and professional endeavors.
