GDC Ukhral Organises One Day Seminar on - AIDS Prevention and Control

The Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Degree College Ukhral organised one day seminar on the topic -AIDS Prevention and Control. Dr. Iftikhar from PHC.Ukhral was invited as resource person to deliver a lecture on the topic. Dr. Iftkhar in his lecture discussed in detail the various causes, symptoms and preventive measures of AIDS. He impressed upon the students not to be shy to discuss about this immortal disease. Mr. Sohan Singh of semester 5th, Miss Seema Devi of semester 1st and Mr. Tamseed Ganai from semester 5th share their thoughts on the topic. A large number of students were present on the occasion.
The whole programme was coordinated by Prof. Suresh Chander Coordinator Red Ribbon Club of Gdc Ukhral and exhorted upon the students to spread the awareness of AIDS in the society so that people remain cautious about this deadly disease. He also presented the vote of thanks. The technical sport was given by Mr.R.K. Thakur and Mr. Farooq Ahmed Katoch.

GDC Ukhral Organises a 'Panch Pran' Pledge taking ceremony.

Ukhral, AUGUST 11: As part of the series of activities being organized under the banner of “Meri Maati Mera Desh” and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Ukhral in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club and Indian Army 12 RR of Ukhral Post, today organized a ‘Panch Pran’ Pledge ceremony to highlight the five Principles to make India Developed and self-reliant nation.
Principal of the College, Major from Indian Army, teaching, non-teaching staff, students and NSS Volunteers of the college participated in the pledge ceremony. The Pledge was read in both English and Hindi.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr) Shallu Samyal emphasized that the objective of organizing the program was to improve all of human kind which is the fabric of our culture and civilization. She said that “Meri Mati Mera Desh” campaign is being launched in the country to honor our Martyred Bravehearts who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.

GDC UKHRAL Organises Quiz Programme on “Indian Freedom Struggle”

Ukhral: 10/08/2023. In continuation with the activities regarding celebration of Independence, GDC Ukhral organised a quiz programme on the title “Indian Freedom Struggle” under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav ( AKAM). The participants were divided into four teams and 16 students participated in the programme. Each team was asked 5 questions related to incidents of India’s independence. The programme was attended by all the staff members and students of the college. In culmination, the team C consisting of Mohd Amir , Manju Devi, Sunil Singh and Meema Devi was declared as winner. The programme as highly appreciated by the students as it provided a glimpse into the happenings leading to independence of India on 15th August,1947. It is to borne is mind that GDC Ukhral has been organising showers of activities viz, plantation drive, Meri Maati Mera Desh, crafting Plaques and other related activities to celebrate India’s 77th Independence Day. The whole program was organised under the guidance of Worthy Principal of the College Prof. (Dr) Shallu Samyal.
