ISTE ANNUAL STUDENT CONVENTION 2025

Engineering Leadership and Transformation: From Ideas to Impact”, ISTE Convention was successfully organized by the Electronics & Communication Engineering Department, Mait Delhi Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) Delhi, on 14th November 2025. The primary objective of the programme was to promote the holistic development of students in the field of Engineering and Technology by exposing them to contemporary challenges, leadership insights, and opportunities for innovation.
The convention commenced with an inaugural ceremony featuring a welcome address and introductory remarks by Dr. Nitin Sharma Coordinator of the programme. This was followed by an insightful inaugural speech by Prof. Neelam Sharma, Director, MAIT, who emphasized the relevance and practical significance of the convention’s theme in the current engineering and technological landscape. The event was graced by Dr. N. K. Gupta, Chief Guest, Member of the National Executive Council ISTE, and Head, Parliamentary Affairs, NSDC. He shared valuable insights on the current challenges in skill development and emphasized the importance of nurturing leadership qualities among engineering students. His session proved enriching and thought-provoking for the participants. Prof. J. V. Desai, Director General, MAIT, provide the importance of certification under different standards and the inaugural function concluded by Dr. Swati Sharma with the vote of thanks. The programme featured engaging and knowledgeable sessions delivered by distinguished experts from academia, industry, and technology sectors:
• Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Scientist-F, Software Technology Park of India (STPI), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), served as the Guest of Honor. He interacted with students on future opportunities in the technology sector, highlighting career prospects after completing B.Tech, especially in startups and entrepreneurship.
• Mr. Rohit Kumar, Assistant Professor, ECE Department, Delhi Technological University - DTU, delivered an informative lecture based on his experience working in AI-based technologies.
• Mr. Vivek Chandel, expert in AI, ML, and Python, shared industry-relevant insights aimed at strengthening students’ technical and analytical competencies.
• Ms. Gauri Agarwal, a renowned professional associated with Event & Partnerships at The Times of India UN Woman 30 for 2030 (2025), and CNN Academy Fellow, motivated the students on leadership, transformation, and emerging professional opportunities.
• Mr. Rahul Samnol conducted an elaborate session guiding students on how to align themselves with the right career direction, focusing on personal development and industry readiness.
These sessions collectively emphasized innovation, leadership, and the significance of emerging technologies in shaping the future of engineering careers.The convention concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where certificates of participation were presented to all attendees. The event had a profound impact on students, inspiring them to embrace leadership roles and pursue meaningful contributions in the field of engineering and technology.
