NUCB Business School hosted the Putra Study Tour 2026 for students from Universiti Putra Malaysia, offering a focused four-day program on Japanese industry and business practice.

Across the program, participants engaged in classroom learning, industry-led sessions, and company visits spanning traditional manufacturing and advanced industrial sectors.

Highlights included:

• Industry-led sessions on Japan’s aviation sector delivered by Dr. Hiroyuki Waku and our EMBA alumnus Mr. Hiroyuki Tanaka (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries)
• Visits to the Mizkan Museum and Kakukyu, exploring heritage-driven business models
• Field exposure to automotive and precision engineering at the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology and Asahi Forge

The program provided participants with a structured lens into Japanese industrial development, connecting theory with practice across sectors and generations.

From branding and name changes to innovative manufacturing practices, students gained valuable insight into the history, strategy, and technology behind Toyota vehicles.

This was our first spring 2026 cultural enrichment experiences, with new opportunities available to students every semester at NUCB Business school.

We recently welcomed MBA students from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business to our Nagoya campus as part of their Global Business Experience (GBE) project with Boeing.

During the visit, the team met with Toshio Ono (Boeing) and Hiroyuki Tanaka (Green Investment Promotion Organization, formerly Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) to discuss Japan’s aerospace ecosystem and the development of engineering talent.

Mr. Tanaka, an Executive MBA candidate at our Nagoya campus, helped bring this meeting together.

The Nagoya region plays an important role in Japan’s aerospace industry, making it an ideal setting for discussions on industry–academia collaboration.

🌏 NUCB Business School Study Tour — Bangkok 2026 🇹🇭

From Feb 23–26, 2026, 29 participants from NUCB Business School traveled to Bangkok for an immersive study tour hosted by Sasin School of Management. Over four days, our students and alumni engaged in expert-led lectures, workshops, and company visits — gaining insights into innovation, industry strategy, and regional business ecosystems.

Highlights included:

• Strategic sessions on Thailand’s economy and technology roadmapping
• Company visit to Yamaha Motor Thailand’s manufacturing operations
• Exploration of Thailand’s national innovation ecosystem at the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi)
• Interactive discussions on startup development and corporate social responsibility
• Final group presentations that brought academic learning into real-world context

This program deepened global perspectives and strengthened cross-cultural collaboration — thanks to the partnership between NUCB Business School and Sasin Japan Center.

Our Joint Program Courses transform extended holiday weekends into an intensive, three-day learning experience that brings together MBA, EMBA, MSc, and exchange students from across programs and campuses at our flagship Nagoya location.

This January, visiting students from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (India), and Michigan Ross joined our regular degree, double degree, and semester exchange students for their first academic experience with our Business School—creating a uniquely diverse and discussion-driven classroom environment.
