We are proud to share the progress made under Cohort 1 of the Global Mentorship Initiative (UK and USA) at Karatina University.

A total of 239 students registered and have directly benefited from this international mentorship program. Through one on one virtual sessions with experienced global mentors, students gained critical career skills and AI powered job search strategies.

Thanks to this partnership, many students have already been matched with mentors, and several have successfully completed the program, emerging more confident and career ready.

We are now pleased to announce that registration for Cohort 2 is officially open.

The Chairman of the University Council, Prof. Joseph T. Mailutha, and the Students President, Gerald Mukaria, are representing Karatina University at the 2nd National Education Conference taking place in Naivasha.

The five-day conference has brought together key education stakeholders, including officials from the Ministry of Education, National Treasury, University Council Chairpersons, Vice Chancellors, Kenya National Union of Teachers, Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers, Kenya Primary School Heads Association, institutional sponsors, Teachers Service Commission, students, among others.

The conference aims to review the already established structures within the Competency-Based Education framework, as well as assess the progress made in the adoption of the new university funding model.

Karatina University’s participation underscores its commitment to supporting national education reforms, policy dialogue, and the advancement of quality higher education in Kenya.
