The University of Kabianga Alumni Association heartily congratulates the Class of 2025 on your hard-earned academic achievements. This significant milestone is a testament to your commitment, perseverance, and dedication.
We wish to pass our special congratulations to Mr. Ogola, a renowned bodaboda operator (or Nduthi guy), for his exemplary resilience and determination in achieving this great success. We wish the entire Class of 2025 all the very best in your future endeavors and warmly welcome you as the newest members of the Alumni Association.

TRENDS:
A zoo is taking an extra step to keep both visitors and gorillas comfortable—by giving out special glasses that prevent direct eye contact! 👀❌ Turns out, staring into a gorilla’s eyes can be seen as a challenge, and we definitely don’t want to upset our primate friends!

With these glasses, guests can enjoy watching these amazing creatures without unintentionally provoking them. Smart move for a peaceful coexistence! 🌿💚

A Story of Resilience and Passion

After her graduation, Cheptoo returned home. As the daughter of a single parent, she shared these inspiring words with her mum:

“Mama, I made it. Your new permanent house is soon going to come up here, and your daughter of hope is back with a story of faith, all because of your prayers, Mommy."

I didn’t do this for society; I did it for you and for God. My story revolves around you, Mum. My new qualifications will open doors for me, and you will always be a part of my journey. Through every challenge I've faced, your unwavering love and support have been my guiding light. Thank you for believing in me.

LIPTON Tea Innovation and Technology Academy to Be Established at University of Kabianga

A major boost for Kenya’s tea industry is underway with the establishment of the LIPTON Tea Innovation and Technology Academy at the University of Kabianga. The KSh500 million academy will focus on equipping farmers with modern skills in tea cultivation and reversing outdated farming practices that prioritize quantity over quality.

The academy will collaborate with TVET institutions to provide specialized training, extension services, and capacity-building programs. This initiative aims to empower farmers to produce high-quality tea capable of fetching premium prices on the global market.
The institution will work with TVETs to ensure we have skilled labor, extension services, and capacity building for our farmers to produce quality tea that can fetch a premium price,” said a stakeholder.
This academy will also play a crucial role in preparing the next generation of farmers, innovators, researchers, and leaders to meet emerging challenges in the tea sector, securing Kenya's position as a global leader in tea production.
