Kenya Forestry College and the Forest Law Enforcement Academy (FoLEA) has today conducted an Interdenominational Thanksgiving and prayer service at the college in Londiani.

The service themed: Be strong and courageous, was attended by the Principal Mr. Francis Musyimi, FoLEA Commanding Officer Mr Appolinary Mwandigha together with other staff and students.

The Kenya Technical Sports Association (KETISA) Games Held at Kenya Forestry College

The Term III games hosted at Kenya Forestry College concluded successfully, with the institution securing several medals and points across various sporting disciplines. The college attained overall third position with a promise to achieve greater heights in the coming term games.

The closing ceremony was graced by the Kenya Forest Service Board Chairman Mr Titus Korir alongside the Kipkelion East Member of Parliament Hon. Joseph Cherorot.

The two urged the students to continue nurturing their talents for they are the future of our nation in the fields of sports.

The Kenya Technical Sports Association (KETISA) games has officially opened today at Kenya Forestry College in Londiani.

KETISA is an umbrella Technical Institution sports organization founded in 1993 with the purpose was to create an avenue for students and staff to interact following the increased growth of technical institutions in the country.

The College has been taking part in the taking place at the KICC Kenya

The 3rd edition of the International Exhibition for Wood and Wood working Industry was today officially opened by the Ministry of Environment Climate Change and Forestry Cabinet Secretary Dr Deborah Barasa.

The exercise has attracted market leaders and experts from the wood, wood working and hardware industries in Kenya and beyond.

The Principal Mr.Francis Musyimi took part in several panel discussions including matters on education in the forestry & environmental sectors and research

RECAP: Kenya Forestry College hosted the 3rd Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service

The Kenya Forestry College today held its 3rd Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service, presided over by KFS Chief Conservator of Forests, Mr. Alex Lemarkoko.

The service was also attended by the Mau Regional Forest Conservator Mr Martin Mamati, Kericho County Forest Conservator Mr James Kwambai , KFC Ag.Deputy Principal John Owuor,Forest Law Enforcement Academy Commanding Officer Appolinary Mwandigha and officers from KFC and FoLEA.

PICTORIAL: Rt. Hon. Dr. Moses M. Wetang'ula, the Speaker of the National Assembly today presided over the 48th Graduation Ceremony of Kenya Forestry College in Londiani.

KFS Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. Alex Lemarkoko paid a courtesy call to the National Bee Keeping Institute located at Lenana block in Ngong' Road Forest.

β€ŽThe CCF was briefed on the various courses offered at the Institute which are meant to empower bee farmers to adopt best practices in bee keeping and honey production.
β€Ž
β€ŽHe thanked the Institute for training two forest officers in apiary noting that bee keeping is one of the key sustainable income generating activities practiced by Community Forest Associations in forests.

β€ŽHe said the foresters will in turn train students at the Kenya Forestry College as well as farmers and CFA members.
