Some of our Year 1 students share what it’s really like after their first 3 months in DSE. Their voices are real — stories of challenge and growth. We hope this helps high school students choose a major that truly suits them ❤️

After every exam, there are always students who did well, and students who didn’t. Among those who didn’t, reactions vary — some feel discouraged, some feel sad, and some can still laugh genuinely 😏.

Over the year, I have seen many students achieve great things, including those who started from zero, who struggled a lot along the way, and also the funny ones 😏. At the end of the day, success is not about never failing — what matters is what we choose to do after we fail.

Your journey is still ongoing 🚀 Enjoy the ride!✨

✨ Spring School 2026 ✨

Earlier this month, our faculty members and students joyfully welcomed our honorable guests—one professor and five students—from Osaka Metropolitan University (OMU).

Over five lively days, students immersed themselves in engaging lectures, hands-on fieldwork, and fun moments exploring Phnom Penh city. They collaborated, laughed, shared stories, and built their cute friendships together. 🌟

We are truly grateful for the memories created, the bonds formed, and the smiles shared. We cannot wait to welcome our OMU friends back next year! ❤️

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲. ✨

I remember supervising a student on a project. Every few weeks, she had to present her progress. As the project grew harder, many meetings ended with very little progress to show—sometimes nothing at all.

One day, I told her, “You’re a good student. Many others in your situation would make excuses, ask to delay the meetings, or even disappear.”

Her response: “Because it’s my responsibility. And I’m okay with being scolded.”

Over the years, I’ve met many students who would rather take a zero than present something imperfect—who disappear when things get hard. And then there are students like her—who show up, even when it’s uncomfortable, even when the work is not pretty, and even when progress feels slow. 🌱

I told her back then that this mindset of hers would carry her far in life—and it really has. Today, she is pursuing her master’s degree overseas, and likely on her way to a PhD. 🎓

Every year, we have students who miss so many classes that they are no longer eligible to take the final exam, and then ask if there is still a solution. Unfortunately, according to school regulations, the 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞, and these students need to repeat the year.

At the same time, we also have students who come to class but do not pay attention or do not bother to learn. By the end of the semester, they often find themselves failing their exams.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝐏𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬—not because the school wants to be strict, but because 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰. Many courses are connected, and without a solid foundation, the next step only becomes harder.

Learning requires more than just being enrolled—𝐢𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. Games and chatting can wait—𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠.

You should not be pursuing a major just to collect a bachelor’s certificate. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞, 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬.

We sincerely hope every student understands this and does not miss the chance to build their future. ❤️

🗓 Tomorrow, 𝟓 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, is the last day to complete enrollment—the final payment deadline.

For those who wait until the very last day to choose a major, it shows just how much you care.

Some of you may already know which major you will choose tomorrow. Others may still be torn between options.

Whatever you decide tomorrow, we sincerely wish you good luck 🍀— because what matters most is that you find your path.

If DSE becomes part of your story, we will be happy to support and guide you along the way.

If you will go somewhere else, we still genuinely wish you find a place where you feel motivated to learn, safe to try, and brave enough to grow—not just as a student, but as a person. ❤️

Relax tonight. Trust yourself tomorrow.

Good luck. 🍀

Our Year 1 DSE students will begin their university journey soon.

Some are excited. Some are nervous.
They are waiting to step into a new world— new friends, new challenges, and many firsts.

At the same time, our senior students are like:
“I want holiday 😔”
“No class, no assignment, yeeeeh! 😄”

They once stood exactly where you are now. They once couldn’t wait for their first class or first assignment.
They once felt the same nervousness, but now it’s clearly gone—replaced by experience and confidence.

So, to our incoming Year 1 students:
✨ Hold on to whatever you’re feeling right now.
✨ If the semester starts a bit later, enjoy these quiet days.

One day, you’ll look back on these moments and smile. ❤️

Your journey is about to begin. 🚀 See you soon!
