The International Center for Innovation and Invention, ICII, is established on
17th October 2019, under the purview of Academic Development and Quality
Assurance unit of NSBM Green University Town to support young innovators
to reach greater heights. All the innovations have
changed the direction of the world and will change the directions in future as
well. Our Vision:
To inspire, encourage and
assist young inventors, entrepreneurs and
innovative organizations, in the development, introducing and
commercialization of new inventions and products or processes.

Our Aims:
1. To promote inventions among university students, community and
general public
2. To encourage inventors and innovators to transfer their innovative
ideas into profitable business models
3. To provide the inventors and innovators with the right environment
to start implementing their ideas, the suitable technical, business, and
entrepreneurial skills, consultancy services and promotes
partnership between the incubated ideas and the business sector

This unique center will operate centrally to all the faculties at NSBM Green
University with a representation of Faculty of Computing, Faculty of Business and
Faculty of Engineering currently. The Students committee and the academic
advisors of ICII represents all three faculties. ICII will not operate as an isolated entity. It is working closely with the apex body
of innovations in Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Innovators Commission (SLIC) and will be
soon be a registered member once the registration process is completed. Currently
SLIC is providing knowledge and expertise support to develop the center to its next
level.
