We are delighted to announce that our annual prize giving for 2022 was successfully held on 29th July 2023 at the Ashraff Memorial Auditorium!

The chief guest for the program was Dr. Shamila Dawood (PhD), Attorney-at-Law, Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo

The event was organized under the leadership of our respected Managing Director and Principal Mr. A.A.M. Jazil, Mrs.M.J.F.Asma, Mrs. Rifka and the dedicated team members.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, guests, and contributors who made this event a grand success.

Prefects' Leadership Initiative: Cultivating Future Leaders

Under the guidance of Fathima Rifka, Distinguished Toastmaster of Matale Toastmasters Club, a transformative leadership initiative was conducted, playing a pivotal role in the growth of our prefects. This initiative aims to nurture exemplary leaders who can inspire younger students through effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. By instilling the values of diligence and commitment, as well as fostering a sense of collective well-being, this initiative equips prefects to excel in their roles.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Toastmaster Rifka for her invaluable contributions. Her profound insights and unwavering mentorship have empowered the prefects, bolstering their confidence and deepening their understanding of their responsibilities.

The management wholeheartedly acknowledges the discipline committee for their collaborative efforts in organizing this impactful initiative, in partnership with Toastmaster Rifka. Together, they have paved the path for the prefects' growth and development as capable leaders of tomorrow.

The annual English Day Celebration 2022 was held on December 8, 2022, in the school auditorium.

The Chief Guest was Ms Anusha Illankoon, Wattegama Zonal Director of English. On this occasion, she gave a speech about the value of English that was incredibly inspiring.

Many students from all classes took part in the poetry recitation, oratory, dictation, copywriting, etc. The chief guest presented the certificates to the top performers. In addition, many students earned certificates for excelling in contests like creative writing, dictation, and oratory, demonstrating their commitment to developing their abilities in all areas and their confidence in doing so.

The students performed a variety of programs, including songs, plays, recitations, and more. Certificates were presented to the students. The students appeared to be extremely spirited and were full of enthusiasm.

So the day was successful in every way!

The Prefects’ Induction Ceremony was held on the 5th August 2022 at Hill Country Girls' College. This is one of the most prominent events of the school. And it was indeed a very successful event.
