The Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully conducted the Final Year Project (FYP) Poster Presentation at Dewan Tun Fatimah, showcasing the research achievements, innovation, and analytical capabilities of 31 final-year students.

The presentation featured two assessment tracks: the Research Track, focusing on empirical, industry-based and Project Management research, and the Product-Based Track, highlighting innovative physical and digital solutions developed to address real-world industrial challenges. A total of 7 products and prototypes were successfully presented, reflecting students’ ability to translate knowledge into practical and impactful outcomes.

The Faculty extends its appreciation to the 14 panel examiners for their valuable evaluation and constructive feedback, as well as to all supervisors for their continuous guidance and commitment throughout the students’ research journey. Congratulations to all students for their professionalism, dedication, and outstanding presentations.

🏆 The Best Poster Awards and outstanding project recognitions will be presented during the Majlis Apresiasi Pelajar FIM on 16 June 2026.
At FIM UMPSA, students are empowered not only through classroom learning but also through research, innovation, industry engagement, and hands-on project experiences that prepare them to become future-ready graduates.

Seramai lebih 50 usahawan di bawah Lembaga Pemasaran Pertanian Persekutuan (FAMA) dari seluruh Malaysia telah menyertai Program Latihan Rundingan Tanpa Rugi: Kunci Kejayaan dalam Perolehan yang berlangsung di Institut Latihan FAMA, Port Dickson baru-baru ini.

Program yang diketuai oleh pensyarah Fakulti Pengurusan Industri (FPI), Dr. Nor Rokiah Hanum Md. Haron itu bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemahiran peserta dalam melaksanakan rundingan perniagaan secara lebih strategik, profesional serta beretika.

Latihan ini memberi tumpuan kepada aspek perolehan, hubungan dengan pembekal dan teknik mencapai persetujuan yang menguntungkan kedua-dua pihak.

The Industry and Alumni Sharing Session for Bachelor of Business Analytics (Honours) students was successfully held on 4 June 2026 at the Auditorium, UMPSA Library, Gambang.

The programme featured two inspiring speakers: En. Kamaruldzaman Salleh, Director of Global Vision Research and General Manager of Idea Company/JustGood Group/Clear Edge Capital Sdn. Bhd., who delivered an insightful industrial talk titled “From Data to Decisions: How Analytics Shapes Real-World Business Outcomes”, and En. Ahmad Zaini Mohamed, a UMPSA Business Analytics alumnus (Class of 2025), who shared his journey through “From Lecture Hall to the Real World of Business Analytics.”

Through these sessions, students gained valuable exposure to the practical application of business analytics in industry, including how data-driven decision-making creates business value, the skills and competencies sought by employers, and the realities of transitioning from university to the professional world. The sharing session also provided students with the opportunity to engage directly with industry practitioners and alumni, strengthening their understanding of career pathways in the rapidly evolving field of analytics.

Fakulti Pengurusan Industri (FIM) would like to express its sincere appreciation to both speakers for their willingness to share their expertise, experiences and professional insights. Special thanks are also extended to all staff and students who contributed to the success of the programme.

UMPSA – KJLJD Competency Enhancement Program Through TRIZ

A collaborative competency enhancement program between Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) and the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Corps (KJLJD) of the 4th Mechanized Brigade was successfully held on 3 June 2026 at Dewan Indera Sri Pancing, Kuantan, Pahang. The program focused on introducing and strengthening knowledge of the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) among military engineering personnel. The exposure to TRIZ represents an important first step in expanding innovation and problem-solving capabilities within the Malaysian Army engineering community. By applying TRIZ principles, personnel can develop more systematic, creative, and efficient approaches to addressing workplace challenges in military operations and support activities.

The program involved 5 officers and 70 personnel from KJLJD, supported by 7 TRIZ instructors and facilitators from UMPSA. The initiative was designed to expose military engineering personnel to structured and systematic problem-solving methodologies that can be applied in operational, maintenance, logistics, and technical environments.

The programme was honoured by the presence of Assoc Prof Dr Jamal Rizal bin Razali, university grant programme leader. Maj Dr Hj Imaduddin bin Abidin and Lieutenant Colonel Ts Mohd Aman bin Armawai served as the coordinator between the military and the university, facilitating strategic collaboration and programme implementation. Their participation highlighted the importance of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration between academia and the military.

The successful implementation of this program demonstrates the strong commitment of both UMPSA and KJLJD towards developing a culture of innovation and structured problem solving. The introduction of TRIZ is expected to enhance the capability of KJLJD personnel in addressing complex technical and operational challenges, thereby contributing to greater organizational effectiveness and military readiness.
