🚨 HOW ADMISSION SCAMMERS TRICK ASPIRANTS 🚨

Many fraudsters use a similar format to attract desperate candidates during admission season.

They often:

1. Claim they can solve admission problems.
2. Promise admission assistance for a fee.
3. Offer JAMB score upgrades.
4. Claim they can influence screening outcomes.
5. Promise change of course or institution through "special connections."
5. Use words like "100% guaranteed," "assured admission," or "instant processing."
6. Drop phone numbers and ask candidates to contact them privately.

⚠️ WHY IT LOOKS CONVINCING

Most scammers know exactly what aspirants are worried about. They target candidates who:
• Have low scores.
• Are worried about admission.
• Missed a deadline.
• Need a change of course or institution.
• Are desperate for a solution.

They make their messages sound professional, urgent, and confident to gain trust.

⚠️ WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

No individual can legitimately guarantee:
❌ Admission.
❌ JAMB score upgrades.
❌ Screening approval.
❌ Placement on admission lists.

The University of Abuja IJMB programme is a one-year advanced level course that allows applicants to gain Direct Entry admission into 200-level without writing JAMB/UTME. It is open for the 2026/2027 academic session, with applications closing on June 30th 2026. Applicants must have at least five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics.

What is the IJMB Programme?
Full name: Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB)
Duration: One academic session (two semesters)
Purpose: Prepares students for direct entry into 200-level in UNIABUJA and other Nigerian universities that accept IJMB.
Moderator: Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

Successful IJMB candidates can gain admission into:
Agriculture
Arts
Engineering
Environmental Sciences
Health Sciences
Law

📢 DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ONLINE SCREENING AND PHYSICAL SCREENING AT UNIABUJA

We have received numerous questions from aspirants regarding the difference between Online Screening and Physical Screening at the University of Abuja and how both processes are conducted. Here's a simple explanation:

🔹 ONLINE SCREENING (Pre-Screening)

The University of Abuja does not conduct a Post-UTME examination. Admission consideration is primarily based on the online screening of candidates' JAMB and O'Level results.

During the online screening, candidates are required to submit:

✅ Personal Information (Bio-data)
✅ JAMB Details
✅ O'Level/A'Level Results

After submission, candidates are assessed and assigned a screening score based largely on the grades in their relevant O'Level subjects.

📌 Candidates with higher grades (A's and B's) generally stand a better chance than candidates with lower grades.

🔹 PHYSICAL SCREENING

Candidates who are eventually considered for admission may be invited for physical verification of credentials.

This process involves the admission officers verifying the authenticity of your documents and ensuring you meet the admission requirements.

During physical screening, a candidate may be:

1️⃣ Screened into the department – You meet the requirements and are eligible for admission into your chosen course.

2️⃣ Screened into another department – You do not meet the requirements for your chosen course but qualify for another available programme.

3️⃣ Screened out – You do not meet the admission requirements and are therefore not considered eligible.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE

Receiving admission on JAMB CAPS or seeing your name on the University portal does not automatically guarantee final admission. Candidates must still satisfy all verification and screening requirements of the University.
