NOTICE OF SCREENING/ORAL INTERVIEW FOR 2026/2027 SESSION

Notice is hereby given that Screening/Oral Interview at the Benue State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Agasha for the 2026/2027 session will hold from Monday 18th - Friday 22nd May, 2026 at the College premises.

Applicants who took the Aptitude Test can now log in to their accounts on the school portal and download their Screening Slips from their dashboards. The slip contains their exact Screening date and arrival time for the exercise. Applicants are advised to take note of all other instructions contained on their screening slips.

All those who have not yet taken the Computer-Based Aptitude Test will do so on Friday, 22nd May, 2026. They will also have their screening/oral interview on the same day.

Please note that there would be no other aptitude test or screening after Friday, 22nd May, 2026. Meanwhile, all those who are still interested in applying for admission may do so.

Management of the Benue State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Agasha wishes to inform the general public that sale of forms for admission into various departments/programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session will commence on Monday, 2nd February, 2026. Programmes available for admission are as follows:

1. National Diploma in Community Health
2. Certified Pharmacy Technician
3. National Diploma in Environmental Health Technology
4. National Diploma in Public Health Technology
5. National Diploma in Epidemiology and Disease Control
6. National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
7. National Diploma in Orthopaedic Cast Technology
8. National Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
9. National Diploma in Health Education and Promotion
10. Higher National Diploma in Community Health Technology
11. Higher National Diploma in Environmental Health Technology
12. Top-up for ND, HND, and BSc. Community Health.

The prospective candidates are required to visit www.bschta.edu.ng/admissions to read the application guidelines and thereafter proceed to the school portal https://portal.bschta.edu.ng to fill the online application form. Cost of form is ₦10,000 only for ND, ₦15,000 only for HND and ₦25,000 for Top-up programme.

Kindly note that payment shall be online via the Novus Microfinance Bank platform. You will be redirected accordingly to the platform during the application process.
Please note also that in addition to five (5) credit passes in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, all prospective candidates for the first nine (9) programmes must register for and take the 2026/2027 UTME and choose Benue State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Agasha on the JAMB portal in order to qualify for admission into the programmes. Prospective candidates for serial numbers 10 – 12 need no UTME.

Benue Assembly Passes Bill to Upgrade Agasha Health Institution.

Benue State College of Health Technology Agasha under the leadership of Dr. Zar Daniel Vershima has taken a speedy developmental step as the Benue State House of Assembly has passed a bill to upgrade the School of Health Technology, Agasha, to a College of Health Science and Technology. The bill, which was passed after a third reading, aims to strengthen the institution's capacity and improve healthcare and manpower development in the state.

Key Provisions of the Bill

- Alignment with NBTE: The college will be aligned with the National Board for Technical Education and professional councils, guaranteeing national credibility and quality training.

- Degree Programs: The college will be empowered to run National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs, and collaborate with universities for degree opportunities.

- NYSC Eligibility: Graduates will be eligible for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

- JAMB Recognition: The college will secure recognition by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), improving visibility and streamlining admission processes.

- Governing Council: The college will have a governing council structure, financial independence, and access to funding interventions like TETFund.

The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Berger Alfred Emberga, commended members for their contributions, noting that upgrading the institution will greatly enhance the development of the state's health sector.
