Urging to Observe 'Isha' and Fajr Prayers in Congregation

1071. 'Uthman bin 'Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم saying: One who performs 'Isha' prayer in congregation, is as if he has performed Salat for half of the night. And one who performs the Fajr prayer in congregation, is as if he has performed Salat the whole night.''
[Muslim]

The narration of At-Tirmidhi says: 'Uthman bin Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he had heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم saying: He who attends 'Isha' in congregation, is as if he has performed Salat for half of the night; and he who attends 'Isha' and Fajr prayers in congregation, is as if he has performed Salat for the whole night.''

Commentary: This Hadith tells us that the reward of performing 'Isha' and Fajr prayers in congregation is so great that it equals the worship of the whole night.

1072.Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him)reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, If they knew the merits of Salat after nightfall ('Isha') and the morning (Fajr) Salat, they would come to them even if they had to crawl to do so.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

This is part of a long Hadith which has already been mentioned. See Hadith No. 1033.

1073. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, No Salat is more burdensome to the hypocrites than the Fajr (dawn) prayer and the 'Isha' (night) prayer; and if they knew their merits, they would come to them even if they had to crawl to do so.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Commentary: 'Isha' and Fajr prayers were, and still are, very hard for the hypocrites for the reason that they performed Salat only to make a show of it and not for the fear of Allah. Therefore, Muslims should not show any laziness in them at all, lest they develop a resemblance with the hypocrites.

Live so that if people get to know you, they will get to know God better.

Fadala ibn 'Ubayd said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, heard a man making supplication in his prayer without glorifying Allah Almighty or praying for blessing on the Prophet. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'This one was in a hurry.' Then he called him and said to him - or to someone else - "When one of you prays, he should begin by glorifying his Lord, glory be to Him! and praising Him, and then pray for blessing on the Prophet. Then he should ask for anything else he wants afterwards.'"

Allah does not burden any soul beyond its capacity. To its credit is what it earns, and against it is what it commits. “Our Lord, do not condemn us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, do not burden us as You have burdened those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear; and pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Lord and Master, so help us against the disbelieving people.”

The most beloved deed to Allah is the most regular and constant even though it were little.

The Prophet said in this regard: "The first thing that will be judged among a person's deeds on the Day of Resurrection is the prayer. If that is in good order, he will pass the test and prosper, and if that is defective, he will fail the test and will be a loser.
[Tirmidhi]

The Messenger of Allaah (salAllaahu 'alayhi wassallam) said: How wonderful is the situation of the believer, for all his affairs are good. If something good happens to him, he gives thanks for it and that is good for him; if something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience, and that is good for him. This does not apply to anyone but the believer.
[Muslim 2999]

And strive for Allah, with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you, and has not burdened you in religion—the faith of your father Abraham. It is he who named you Muslims before, and in this. So that the Messenger may be a witness over you, and you may be witnesses over the people. So pray regularly, and give regular charity, and cleave to Allah. He is your Protector. What an excellent Protector, and what an excellent Helper.
[Quran 22:78]
