We are excited to announce the YouthMappers Technical Challenge in collaboration with Digital Earth Africa!
Digital Earth Africa works to improve people's lives across the African continent by translating Earth observations into insights that will support sustainable water management, agricultural practice, food security, and urbanization. Through their various platforms (DE Africa Map, DE Africa Sandbox, Notebook Repository, Africa GeoPortal, DE Africa MetaData Explorer, and OGC Web Services); Digital Earth Africa makes data readily available, delivering decision-ready products to the African continent. With free and rapid access to the data they need, policymakers, scientists, the private sector, and civil society can innovate to address social, environmental, and economic changes across the continent and respond effectively to the challenges of sustainable development.
We invite YouthMappers chapters and students to submit proposals addressing a societal challenge using the suite of Digital Earth Africa platforms. Selected proposals will receive funding to implement their project! For more details and proposal submission π https://tinyurl.com/YMxDEA Application closes on 31 October 2022.
