THOUGHT OF THE MINISTRY

When I think Ministry; I think job, not joke!
When I think Ministry; I think mystery, not riches!
When I think Ministry; I think suffering: I think cross: I think passion for sinners: I think compassion and will for conversion of sinners
I think consolation of the broken hearted and restoration of the losts
I think helping the poor; and comforting the miserable
I think rescuing the dieing

When I think Ministry; I think heaven and eternity: I think perfect submission: I think total obedience and real humility and selflessness of christ
I think not of here or now: Not of pay, but of pain and agony, both of the Lord, for sinners and that of his saints on earth:
I think not of gain; but of it's pain and penury!
I think of hell, awaiting the transgressors, who turn their back on the call of Calvary!

When I think Ministry; I remember the great commission: I remember the assignment for all; and the message of peace!?

When I think Ministry; I cry internally, for those that turn it upside down, for their own gain!

When I think Ministry; I think homelessness and restlessness

Ministry is obedience: Ministry is love
Ministry is patience and perseverance
It is endurance; not enjoyment or enticement.
Ministry is about the kingdom; not about self!
Ministry is about God's presence on earth. It is about representing heaven on earth

Anytime I think Ministry; I see challenges and charges of saints: I see their wretchedness and sorrows
I see saint's affliction and persecution!

When I think Ministry; I see Ministers bruise and sore: I see their swept and scars: I see their tears: I see their lamentations in love; like that of the Lord.

When I think Ministry; I see frustration and rejection: and I see refusal to back out!

Ministry is not sugar; it's not sweet; not wealth or riches: it's not pride; but price
Ministry is not joke; not child's play; but a serious job!
