The entire community of Mountain Top University was honoured by the visitation of our Father in the Lord, our amiable Chancellor and General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya (Professor of Biotechnology).

During the Eagle Hour programme organised by the University, Dr. Olukoya admonished the community on the supreme power of God, ways to provoke divine intervention, and proclaimed fatherly a blessing on all present.

As part of his visit, the Chancellor commissioned the new ultramodern hostel facility, inspected ongoing projects, and laid the foundation for the construction of additional facilities.

Mountain Top University Commemorates Global Environmental Education Day 2026

Mountain Top University proudly joined institutions and organisations worldwide in marking Global Environmental Education Day 2026, reassuring its dedication to environmental sustainability and responsible citizenship.

At this special programme, organised by the University’s Environmental Sanitation Committee under the leadership of Dr Nelly A. Ndukwe, distinguished members of the University Management, staff, and students gathered to reflect on the collective responsibility of safeguarding our environment.

Delivering the lecture, Mr. Akinwunmi Taiwo spoke on “Fostering a Healthier Environment through Individual Participation for Sustainable Development and Waste-to-Wealth Initiatives.” He emphasised that sustainable development begins with deliberate individual actions, ranging from proper waste disposal and recycling to tree planting and community sanitation.

2. Sustainable development requires continuous education and collective commitment.

3. Waste-to-wealth initiatives and eco-friendly practices are vital for healthier living.

Mountain Top University Solidifies 2026 with a Campus-Wide Prayer Walk

As part of the activities to strengthen 2026, Mountain Top University on 16 January 2026 engaged in a highly impactful prayer walk across the campus.

Led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Elijah Ayolabi, together with members of management and staff, the procession reaffirmed the University’s commitment to holistic education anchored on strong spiritual dependence.

Staff from all departments united in prayer, consecrating key facilities and dedicating the year to God’s guidance, protection, and prosperity. Psalm 91 was read aloud at strategic locations, accompanied by bold declarations for safety, progress, and divine excellence.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasised the significance of collective prayer, recalling the effect of last year's prayer walk and divine interventions. He reaffirmed that the continued practice of committing the institution to God has contributed immensely to its growth, stability, and achievements.

The prayer walk marked a spiritually uplifting start to the year, fostering Mountain Top University’s mission, vision, and core values.

Congratulations to MTU Class of 2025🎉🎊🥇🎓

It was a beautiful, joyous scene filled with gratitude at the 7th Convocation and 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Mountain Top University.

From the graduands to their parents, the University management to special dignitaries who graced the occasion, it was indeed an atmosphere of thanksgiving to God for a decade of existence, outstanding achievements, the nurturing of world class graduates who are already driving positive changes in their various fields of endeavour - a people of character and excellence, and progressive societal transformation through Research, Development & CSR.

Through advanced curricula and extra-curricula activities which include special programmes like Every Student a Musician (ESM), Entrepreneurship courses, and Success & Leadership training made compulsory for all students, Mountain Top University has remained a fertile breeding ground that prepares and empowers her graduates to excel in the fast-changing world and become positive change agents.

With a CGPA of 4.94, Miss Akinyemi Omolola Faith of the department of Mathematics emerged as the best graduating student of MTU for the Class of 2025. Several other awardees cutting across the 42 first class candidates spread across different departments were also recognised.
A total of 346 graduands out of which 9 bagged doctoral degrees were recorded at the 7th Convocation Ceremony.
