He argues that Nigeria cannot move forward without institutionalizing its political parties and ensuring they are robust and accountable. Drawing from global and African political realities, he advocates for deep ideological, structural, and constitutional reforms in Nigeria's democracy.

Metuh’s Doctrine for Reform:
1. Restore Ideology: Political parties should have clear ideological frameworks to guide their actions and gain public trust.
2. Enforce Manifestos: Political parties must be held accountable for their campaign promises, ensuring that manifestos are binding and trackable.
3. Ban Political Defections: Constitutional amendments should prevent defection during a term, except in cases like mergers.
4. Institutionalize Zoning: Implement power rotation in the Constitution to reduce ethnic tension and ensure inclusivity.
5. Reform Party Funding: Introduce transparent fundraising mechanisms, performance-based public funding, and caps on campaign spending. An Independent Party Finance Commission should be established to oversee and sanction parties.
6. Political Education: Educate citizens on party ideologies, manifestos, and political accountability to foster deeper civic engagement.
Relevance to Anambra 2025 Gubernatorial Election:
Metuh’s message is a call for action in Anambra, urging voters to assess political parties beyond personal loyalty and consider their ideological commitment. He emphasizes the importance of supporting a party system that focuses on people’s needs, not individual power.
