RAMADAN OUTREACH (IFTAR) PROGRAM ORGANIZED BY THE AHMADI MUSLIM STUDENT'S ASSOCIATION, FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ILARO CHAPTER
The blessed month of Ramadan is a period of devotion, reflection, sacrifice and generosity. In line with these values, the Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association (AMSA), Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Chapter, successfully organized its annual Ramadan Outreach (Iftar) Program in 2025 Ramadan period.
This noble initiative under the leadership of Bro Akintola Abdulazeem Amsa President 2024/2025 Academic Session, held in collaboration with Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at mosques across 8 different locations in ilaro, aimed at providing nourishing meals for fasting Muslims while fostering unity, love, and spiritual growth within the community.
The 2025 edition was conducted in four phases, beginning on the 2nd day of Ramadan and concluding on the 28th day, with each phase dedicated to reinforcing different spiritual themes—seeking Allah’s mercy, forgiveness and blessings through acts of charity and unity.
Phase One: Seeking Allah’s Mercy (Sunday, March 2, 2025)
The program commenced on the 2nd day of Ramadan at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Mosques in Sabo and Jamia. Fasting Muslims gathered in an atmosphere of devotion and gratitude, breaking their fast with nourishing meals provided by AMSA. This opening phase highlighted the boundless mercy of Allah that accompanies the blessed month, and it set the tone for a series of impactful outreach activities that followed.
Phase Two: Charity and Unity (Sunday, March 9, 2025)
The second phase was held on the 9th day of Ramadan at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Mosques in Ileba and Gbogidi. The theme for this phase was “Seeking Allah’s Mercy Through Charity and Unity.” Beyond offering meals for Iftar, the gathering emphasized the values of generosity, togetherness, and communal spirit that lie at the heart of Ramadan. The smiles and gratitude of attendees reflected the unifying power of charity, showing how a simple meal can create bonds of love and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood.
Phase Three: Seeking Allah’s Forgiveness (Sunday, March 16, 2025)
The third phase took place on the 16th day of Ramadan at the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Mosques in Oke Ola and Leslie. This phase carried the theme “Seeking Allah’s Forgiveness Through Charity and Unity.” Attendees gathered not only to break their fast but also to reflect on the need for forgiveness, spiritual purification, and drawing closer to Allah. By providing meals and fostering togetherness, the outreach served as a practical embodiment of the core values of Ramadan: humility, repentance, and generosity.
Final Phase: Culmination of Outreach (Friday, March 28, 2025)
The final outreach was held at Ikosi on Friday, March 28, 2025, marking the conclusion of the year’s program. This closing phase was both a celebration of the success of the initiative and a reminder of the blessings of perseverance in good deeds. It represented the culmination of AMSA’s efforts to extend the spirit of Ramadan across different communities, ensuring that more Muslims benefited from this noble cause.
Continuous Iftar Distribution Throughout Ramadan
In addition to the four major phases of the outreach, the Ramadan Outreach Committee ensured the consistent provision of Iftar meals throughout the month. Community members, the Chief Imam of Ilaro, and AMSA members benefited daily from these meals, which served not only as physical nourishment but also as a symbol of togetherness and brotherhood. This continuous gesture reflected the Association’s unwavering commitment to service, inclusiveness, and strengthening ties within the Muslim community during the sacred month.
As we conclude the 2025 Ramadan Outreach, the Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association, Federal Polytechnic Ilaro Chapter, prays for the continued success of this initiative in the years ahead. May Allah accept our fasts, prayers, and acts of charity, grant us His mercy and forgiveness and keep us united in service to humanity. With His grace, this noble program shall remain a lasting tradition, bringing blessings to both the givers and the receivers.
