REMINDER! REMINDER!!!
NO MORE SUNDAY EXAMS* AT OWERRI STUDY CENTRE

This is to inform all students of Owerri Study Centre that as we approach the 2026_1 POP Examination, there will be a change in the examination schedule.

Please be informed that all examinations are scheduled to be written on Mondays. Consequently, there will be no examinations conducted on Sundays henceforth.

Students are advised to take note of this adjustment and prepare accordingly.

NOTICE OF EXTENSION – GST302 BUSINESS PLAN UPLOAD

Dear Students,
This is to inform you that the deadline for the upload of GST302 Business Plans has been extended.
New Deadline: Saturday, 16th May 2026 by 11:59 PM.

All students are advised to take note of the following:

Students who have not yet filled the Google Form should do so immediately and wait for approval.

Students whose business plans have been approved but have not uploaded are kindly requested to upload before the deadline.

Please be reminded that the defence/presentation is around the corner, so timely compliance is very important.

NOTICE OF DES303 UPLOAD DEADLINE EXTENSION

Good day, dear Desk Officers and Colleagues,

We have carefully considered your appeal and wish to inform you that the deadline for uploading DES303 has been extended to Friday, 1st May 2026.

This extension follows the official closure of registration on 28th April 2026.

In view of this, all Desk Officers are kindly requested to notify their students to complete their uploads on or before the new deadline, as no further extension will be granted.

Students who are unable to complete the upload this semester are advised to keep their proposal forms, logbooks, and reports safely for submission in the next semester.

*IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR MASS COMMUNICATION STUDENTS (300-400LV)*

If you are offering *MAC 312 (Newspaper Production) & MAC421 (Advanced Newspaper/Magazine production)*, this is what the project entails:

*1. Write ONE or two Articles*
You are required to write *one or two* of the following:

* News article
* Feature article
* Opinion article
* Cartoon story
Interview

*Choose only one or two* and write it properly. Do not write more than required unless your study centre instructs you to.

*2. Confirm Your Study Centre’s Requirements*
Before printing or submitting anything, *ask your study centre*:

* Are you to print *one copy or two copies*?
* Are you required to write *one article or two articles*?
* Should it be *submitted physically* or *sent via email*?

Example:
* *Surulere Study Centre* requires students to *print and submit physically* at the study centre office.

*3. Submission Process*
Once you’ve written and printed your article:
* Take it to your *study centre office*
* They will *upload it on your behalf* for submission

*4. Newspaper Collection (₦3,000)*
* You may be asked to pay *₦3,000 cash* for newspaper
* Note: Not all study centres will collect money

5. *Confirm Upload – Do NOT Keep Quiet*
After submission:
* Go back to the study centre
* Ask clearly:
*“Has my document been uploaded?”*
* Raise a *ticket for confirmation*

❗ Do not assume.
❗ Do not keep quiet.
❗ Follow up *one by one* until you are sure it has been uploaded.

*FINAL ADVICE*
This project is *compulsory*
Failure to follow up can lead to *Extra year because it will come out as incomplete, e dey pain die*

2. *GST302 Business Plan* upload will close in *4 days* — *May 2nd, 2026*.

3. *TMA submission* deadlines:

* *300–800 level:* closes *May 17th, 2026*
* *100 & 200 level:* closes *June 7th, 2026*

4. *POP examinations* will commence on *May 4th, 2026*.

Please take note of these deadlines and act promptly to avoid any issues.
