TWO YEARS OF TRANSFORMATION UNDER GOVERNOR AGBU KEFAS.
1. FREE ANS COMPULSORY EDUCATION
Free and compulsory education: The education sector is one of the sectors of the state that has received top priority from the Governor, considering the importance of development.
Immediately after assuming the office, Dr. Agbu Kefas declared free and compulsory education in public primary and secondary schools across the state. The idea is to mop up all out-of-school children and increase school enrollment, thereby changing the narrative of the state from educational disadvantage to educational advantage.
The free education initiative came along with free WAEC and NECO registration. To also reduce the burden on parents and guardians, the Governor reduced the tuition fees of all higher institutions in the state by 50%. De. Agbu Kefas awarded the contract for the supply of educational materials such as:
*School uniforms
*iPad tablets
*Shoes
*Bags
*Sports wear
*Books
*Mathematical Instruments
*Colour Pens
*Raincoats
*Socks
*Drawing Books
*Singlets
By procuring these materials, the Governor has gone an extra step to prove his commitment to the free education policy of his administration. The interesting fact about this gesture is that this is the first time in history such materials will be distributed free of charge to students and pupils across the state.
In fulfilling the promise to rebuild schools across the state, Dr. Agbu Kefas not long ago flagged off the construction of sixty new schools across the state.
RENOVATION OF HOSTELS AT THE TARABA TARABA UNIVERSITY JALINGO:
To ensure that the students of Taraba State University, Jalingo, have a conducive learning environment, Dr. Agbu Kefas embarked on the renovation of hostels in the institution. Now the students have befitting hostel accommodations.
PAYMENT OF LAW STUDENTS TUITION FEES:
Dr. Agbu Kefas has been consistently paying the tuition fees of law students from the state. It was during his tenure that the issues concerning the law students of Taraba State University, Jalingo, were resolved, enabling them to begin attending the Nigerian Law School.
He has also ensured that several courses in the University receive full accreditation.
2. HEALTH: IN THE HEALTH SECTOR, THE GOVERNOR HAS ALSO ACHIEVED SIGNIFICANT MILESTONES.
USSA GENERAL HOSPITAL:
Within the two years of his administration, Dr. Agbu Kefas reconstructed the Ussa General Hospital in Lissam. The hospital project was abandoned several years ago by the previous governments. With the hospital now completed, the people of Ussa have access to health services.
BALI GENERAL HOSPITAL:
The project for total construction of a new Bali General Hospital is in progress. The Governor embarked on the project to ensure that the people have befitting health facilities.
MOBILE HOSPITAL:
To ensure that all parts of the state are adequately taken care of as far as health is concerned, the Governor purchased a Mobile Hospital Van which was commissioned by the wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu Asiwaju Bola Ahmed when she visited the state.
3. AGRICULTURAL SECTOR:
Agriculture is another sector that has received the attention of Governor Agbu Kefas. The Governor in his commitment to the revitalization of the agricultural sector and increased output, procured 850 tractors made of 750 global mini tractors and 100 Cabrio Compact Tractors accessories, tools and spare parts. It's in line with his agenda of transforming Taraba from consumption to production State.
GREEN HOUSE PROJECTS:
The Taraba Green House Project which was initiated by the previous administrations was completely destroyed and ran out of operation.
Dr. Agbu Kefas provided the required resources to revive moribund companies of the state to boost internally generated revenue.
The Governor has successfully revived the project and repositioned it to foster progress of the state.
4. SECURITY:
In the aspects of security of life and properties of the people. Governor Agbu Kefas has performed exceedingly great more than any other administration. Governor Agbu Kefas has succeeded in keeping the state calm and peaceful. Unlike before.
DONATION OF VEHICLE TO SECURITY AGENCIES.
To ensure that the various security agencies in the state function as expected, Dem Agbu Kefas distributed Hilux and JAC Vans
to the:
*Police
*Army
*NSCDC
*DSS
*Taraba Marshalls
5. WELFARE OF RETIREES
It was in the year 2011, that retirees received their benefits last in Taraba State. Until the emergence of Dr. Agbu Kefas as Governor of Taraba State on May 29th 2023, there was a backlog of gratuity owed to retired civil servants in the state.
Within the two years in office, the Governor in March 2024, approved the sum of N1bn for payment of backlog of gratuity.
Again in May 2024, the Governor directed the immediate release of another N1bn to pensioners in the state.
He also set aside a monthly sum of N200 million for payment of gratuities and pensions.
In June 2024, the Governor approved the sum of N500 million for local government pensioners.
There's also another monthly approved N100 million for the local government retirees. The Governor has the retirees at heart that's why he has committed over N2.5b to pay them.
With all sense of responsibility, we can say it anywhere that under Governor Agbu Kefas civil servants are no longer afraid of retirement because their rights and privileges are guaranteed.

8. VISITATION TO SECURITY AGENCIES HEADQUARTERS IN NIGERIA:
In order to maintain cordial relationship with the security agencies, Dr. Agbu Kefas took time and visited Al the headquarters of the security agencies in Abuja. Those collaborations have yielded fruitful results as all nook and cranny of the state are peaceful.
9. GOVERNOR AGBU KEFAS VISIT CHINA, PARTNERS WITH JAC FOR BETTER TRANSPORTATION:
During the visit, the JAC group honored Dr. Agbu Kefas by inviting him to officially cut the ribbon at the unveiling of the first 3000 electric cars out of the 3,000 purchased by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). JAC said it recognized Dr. Kefas as a distinguished international personality. Another benefit of that the Governor purchased JAC Hilux vehicles for official use in the state.
10. GOVERNOR AGBU KEFAS LEADS HIGH-POWARED DELEGATION TO INDIA TO ENHANCE AGRICULTURE.

12. INFRASTRUCTURE:
RURAL ELECTRIFICATION PROJECT IN GEMBU.
20yesrs after it went silent, the Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas remodeled, installed and commissioned the rural electrification project in Gembu headquarters of the Sardauna Local Government Area of the State.
REMODELING AND RECONSTRUCTION OF DANBABA SUNTAI AIRPORT:
The Danbaba Suntai Airport is now wearing a new look with the remodeling and reconstruction of the runway, upgrade of structures and installation of state-of-the-art aviation facilities. It is the efforts of Governor Kefas Agbu. The Airport is noe open for more aircraft to fly into the state and out of the state for smooth and easy transportation.
RECONSTRUCTION OF ULTRAMODERN ABBATOIR:
The Ultra-Modern Abattoir located at Sabongari Jalingo was an abandoned projects that was started collapsing before the Governor engaged the Mesotho Nigeria Limited who reconstructed and remodeled the abbatoir into a morden one.
The abbatoir is a step towards ensuring that the people of Taraba State consume a healthy meat. The abbatoir has State-of-the-art facilities where its activities can be donated in a modernized way ina serene environment.
PALLIATIVE MARKET, PANTINAPU JALINGO:
The Palliative Market was also an inherited projects. It was nothing to write home about, the Governor awarded the contract for it reconstruction and remodeling and renamed as palliative market where good and services will be gotten at a subsidized rate considering the harsh economic in the country. Now the palliative market stands out among the best facilities provided by the government of Governor Kefas Agbu.
TRUCK PARK, PANTINAPU JALINGO
Reconstructed and remodeled by Governor Agbu Kefas to address the issues of indecent parking by trailers and trucks that frequently block the highway, the Governor initiated the construction.
RECONSTRUCTION OF THE COLLEGE OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY, JALINGO.
RECONSTRUCTION OF THE TARABA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY COMPLEX:
The Taraba State House of Assembly Complex has been reconstructed and remodeled by the Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas. The assembly Complex is now wearing a new look with the state-of-the-art facilities.
RECONSTRUCTION OF ALGON GUEST HOISE JALINGO:
The ALGON Guest House Jalingo has been reconstructed and remodeled. The Governor built a new storay building at the side and totally gave the place a face lifts.
RECONSTRUCTION OF TY DANJUMA HOUSE JALINGO:
The TY Danjuma House Jalingo has been reconstructed and remodeled by His Excellency Governor Agbu Kefas. The Governor built a new Banquet Hall in the TY Danjuma House and finished it with the state-of-the-art facilities.
SGS OFFICE, JALINGO:
The office of the Secretary to the Government of the state, was also reconstructed and remodeled to a standard place of work.
TY DANJUMA HOUSE ASOKORO, ABUJA:
The Government Lodge Abuja, was also reconstructed and remodeled by His Excellency Governor Agbu Kefas within the period of two years in office.

It's indeed a two-year of significant achievements, as we've embarked on another years ahead; we're looking forward to more groundbreaking transformations underway. Slow and steady wins the race. We're moving forward steadily.
