In a remarkable gesture of gratitude and commitment to legacy, the M.Sc. Class of 2024/2025 of the Centre for Conflict Management and Peace Studies (CECOMPS) donated 11 official chairs valued at β¦1,100,000 to the Centre as part of their Leave-a-Legacy Project.
The presentation ceremony took place on Friday, 22nd May 2026, at the Centreβs Boardroom, where the items were officially commissioned by the Global President of the University of Jos Alumni Association (UJAA), Dr Gad Shamaki.
The donation was presented on behalf of the graduating class by the Director of Alumni Relations, Mr Naandye Dabugat, and received by the Director of CECOMPS, Professor Danny McCain, who expressed deep appreciation for the thoughtful contribution and its impact on the comfort and productivity of the Centreβs lecturing staff.
Goodwill messages were delivered by Dr Raphael Sule, the 2024/2025 M.Sc Coordinator, alongside other staff members, who commended the graduating class for setting a worthy example of service, unity, and giving back.
The memorable occasion concluded with a thanksgiving dinner held at De-Bridge Hotel, Jos, celebrating not just an achievement, but a lasting contribution to the growth of the Centre.
