WORKERS' DAY 2026: KOSU VC SALUTES STAFF
-Urges stronger commitments to assigned duties
The Vice-Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba, Professor K.I.T. Eniola fNSM has extended warm felicitations to all members of staff on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration.
The Vice-Chancellor commended the University’s workforce for their diligent commitment, professionalism, and resilience, describing staff as the cornerstone of the institution’s academic excellence, administrative efficiency, and sustained growth. He noted that the progresses the university community has recorded across teaching, research, and community service are a direct reflection of the commitment and sacrifices of staff across all cadres.
He particularly acknowledged the critical contributions of both teaching and non-academic staff whose daily efforts continue to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance service delivery, and uphold the University’s reputation as a centre of learning, innovation, and resourcefulness.
Reflecting on the theme of this year’s May Day celebration, “Insecurity, Poverty—Bane of Decent Work,” the Vice-Chancellor emphasised the commitment of management, and, indeed, the government, toward a secure, inclusive, and enabling work environment that promotes staff welfare, productivity, and professional development.
Professor Eniola reaffirmed Management’s commitment to policies and initiatives aimed at improving working conditions, supporting career advancement, and fostering a culture of excellence, equity, and motivation within the University system.
He further urged staff to remain steadfast, uphold the highest standards of professionalism, and embrace continuous learning in the discharge of their responsibilities.
End.
