People think Faculty of Arts is soft, until they enter one class.

You’re not just reading books.
You’re breaking down human behavior.
You’re analyzing emotions.
You’re understanding culture, language, and meaning.

It’s not just ‘talking’… it’s thinking.
It’s not just ‘acting’… it’s discipline.

We don’t just study courses, we study life itself.

So no… it’s not easy.
It just doesn’t look like your struggle.

A Second Class Lower (2.2) degree can qualify you for direct admission into a master’s program without going through a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD). However, this does not apply to every candidate with a 2.2.

Typically, only candidates with a CGPA of 3.00 and above on a 5.00 scale are eligible to apply directly for a master’s degree. This is why institutions require an official transcript, which must be sent directly from the registrar of your first-degree institution to the university where you intend to pursue your postgraduate studies.

If you graduated with a 2.2 but your CGPA is below 3.00, you will most likely be required to go through the PGD route before being considered for a master’s program.

What does this imply?

It means that not all 2.2 degrees are equal, there are variations within the classification.

It is also important to confirm specific requirements with the postgraduate school of your chosen institution before applying.

In the past, many universities required a minimum cumulative GPA of 4.00 on a 5.00 scale for admission to a master’s program. Still, in recent times, some institutions have relaxed these requirements, making postgraduate education more accessible.

Consider these things I say and may your intuition, the highest wisdom of the ages, grant you understanding of the timelines!

7 THINGS TO DO IF YOU’RE BROKE.

1. Try as much as possible not to look like your situation. Don't go announcing or showing everyone that you're broke; that's the easiest way to lose relevance and respect.

2. Make the necessary lifestyle changes to cut down expenses and learn how to manage resources.

3. Avoid constantly demanding handouts from friends and relatives. Instead, make yourself valuable by looking for services to render to them for pay. It could be laundry, errands, or helping them out in their business places. It's better than always asking for free money.

4. Prioritize survival over comfort. Bring yourself down and take up small jobs or work while keeping your eyes on the desired opportunity.

5. Keep in touch with those who are doing better than you and be mindful of potential opportunities.

6. Look for ways to improve your skills and qualities that are needed for the kind of opportunity you seek.

7. It's not easy, but remain optimistic and don't stop trying. Good luck!

Some opportunities don’t just change your present… they rewrite your future

111 female undergraduates across Nigeria will be awarded this scholarship and this could be your chance to be one of them.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be willing to try.

A lot of people will see this and scroll.
Some will doubt themselves.
Some will procrastinate.

But a few will take action and those are the ones whose stories change.

Don’t count yourself out before you’re even counted in.
Apply. Show up for yourself.
