"Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo Matriculates Newly Admitted Students"
The Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo, Gombe State had yesterday, 17th April, 2026 matriculated its newly admitted students for the year 2025/2026 academic session.
The ceremony was held at the 1000 seater lecture hall of the institution at about 10:30am.
Delivering his speech at the ceremony, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Ibrahim Babale Gashua had welcomed the students to the Polytechnic and congratulated them for being previllaged in gaining admission into the prestigious institution.
Dr. Babale who is witnessing his first matriculation exercise of students as the substantive Rector of the Polytechnic, had encourafed the students to take advantage of the conducive learning environment and adequate facilties like e-library, computer laboratories, skills aquisition centres as well as the well furnished classes, hostels and social amenities provided by the school. He advised them to take their studies seriously and avoid all forms of social vices such as cultism and exam mal-practice etc, which he said will not be taking lightly if any student caught engaged.
The Rector enjoined the students to be disciplined and good ambassodors of the institution, while they are being nurtured to be responsible and productive individuals with academic excellence.
About 774 admitted students accross the 11 departments of the Polytecnic were matriculated this year, which shows a significant improvement in number of students admission compared to previous years.
