The African Institute of Development Professionals (iDevPro-Africa)
iDevPro-Africa is fully registered with the approval of Registrar
General, Federal Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, Attorney General of the Federation and Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC) to
Champion Human Capital Development and to;
1. Regulate, Advance the certification and education of members and non-members through the promotion of development activities, capacity building and ethical practice for the development of the African
continent.
2. Advance Strategic Leadership & Development Studies for the efficient and quality human resources for Health, Education, Agriculture and Economy as well as promoting high ethical standards in the development
profession.
3. Promote Applied Research Development and Implementation Science,
publications and dissemination of information relating to development and Global Health
4. Organise meetings, conferences, training, seminars, workshops and exchanges in the field of development.
5-As a leading pioneer Sustainable Development Education outfit, the
institute seeks to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of development practice and allied professionals through innovative training and mandatory continuing professional development educational programmes that addresses the need and skill gaps in Africa.
The institute also recognises the significant role played by volunteers in the development process, hence organises short courses, seminars and workshops including posting them to support development partners in
Africa.

OBJECTIVES:
(a)To provide an umbrella for professionals working on development
projects, experts in international development and graduates of
development studies;
(b)To determine the standard of knowledge and skills to be attained by
persons seeking to become development professionals or registered
members of the Institute;
(c)To breed the highest standard and competent Fellows, Full, Senior and
Associate members of the Institute;
(d)To provide an avenue for interested persons and members of the
institute to meet and discuss pertinent issues on accelerating global
goals for sustainable development;
(e)To regulate and ensure discipline within the profession in Nigeria
and Africa as the law may permit;
(f)To develop skills in problem solving and management precedures, be an
industry leader making significant contributions in advancing
development practices;
(g)To become a hub for highly skilled practitioners in the policies,
procedures and principles of development profession;
(h)To build a comprehensive global network of academia and development
experts across a broad spectrum of development projects, and programs
and operations for members to appreciate cutting-edge solutions.
